Itinerary
Our local knight will meet you in the shadow of Kilkenny castle, where they will give a quick introduction and Health and safety talk before giving a unique perspective on the area and telling a bit of its history
We stop here at the back of the building to talk about its history.
We stop outside the museum to talk a bit about the history of the building and its role in Kilkennys political history.
We stop for a quick chat on the High street to talk about what it might have looked like in medieval times
Pass by: As we walk along the lane we discuss what life would have been like and the living conditions of medieval times.
The highlight of the tour, enjoy the beauty and history of the small park surrounding the tower, while learning about the armour and weapons used by medieval knights.
Arriving at the gates of the castle we end the tour with a bit of history of the castle and its role in Kilkenny.

Fun informative and entertaining walk around the Medieval Mile!
Dylan was interesting and humorous! What a great way to walk around the Medieval Mile! It is especially fascinating because Dylan engages in medieval armored combat competitions which we didn’t even know existed! Consequently he could give us a more authentic tour!

Our knight was very funny and pleasant during our tour. He was very knowledgeable about Kilkenny and we certainly dressed for the occasion! I would highly recommend this tour.
