Make this your first activity in Kilkenny. Cliff our guide did a great job of giving an overview of the city, sparked with history and folklore. Money well spent.
Definitely on the bucket lists!
It was a great experience as adult and for the kids as well, the lady, I am sorry I didn’t get her name, was amazing and even let my son to drive the boat and at the end she gave him a surprise that made him very happy. She know what she is doing and the information given are impressive! This is a must do activity if you are in Kilkenny!

Know What You’re Getting Into
It was very easy to find the pickup point, and it was conveniently located. I think we would’ve enjoyed it more if we had gone into it with different expectations. We were expecting a historical tour of Kilkenny from the river instead of the typical walking tour, but instead we got a 40ish minute monologue from our tour operator. Don’t get me wrong, it was funny, but not what I thought we had paid for. All that said, if you want a leisurely look at the river with only passing mentions of what each significant building is, then this is the tour for you.
