Traveler reviews
Best excursion of our...
Best excursion of our cruise! Greg, Noah, and Mason were amazing. We saw so many whales, even though it was early in the season (May 23). There were only 36 people on board, so it didn’t feel crowded, everyone could see. Highly recommend booking this excursion and supporting a local company directly vs going through your cruise ship!
Fantastic Day!
We had a great trip with Captain Russell, Haylee and Jude! The day started rainy but then the sky opened up and the fog disappeared and it was breathtaking views of the Chilkat Mountains! We saw a whale very quickly into our trip, then a second a little while later, and then a 3rd - mom & calf! Haylee & Jude were very friendly and answered all questions and were quite knowledgeable when we were in the boat and they were discussing the area. We saw Flame - that was our second whale - and they told us a lot about her story as well! Very interesting! Then it was onto the Glacier with Chelle as our shuttle driver. She was very nice as well. The glacier was stunning and her suggestion to take the Nugget Falls trail to the waterfall was a must! Glad we did it! We saw a porcupine on the walk back and a bear from the shuttle bus on the ride back into town! Great trip!
Best trip ever
Glacier was amazing, but need to walk to falls first even more exciting. Whales were plentiful and super exciting to see. Awesome tour!
Whale watching- Juneau
Crew was very knowledgeable. Heard something about whale activity and actually went about 10 minutes past where they normally go to find it. We watched 3 whales for a while- surfacing and flipping their tale as well as hearing them blow. Very exciting.
Glacier then whales.
Definitely try to do the glacier before the whale watch incase the weather is questionable. We had a great hike to the falls and a really rainy cold whale watch. We got one whale tail.
