Walk in the footsteps of Franz Kafka and feel the environment which had shaped this writer who is regarded as one of the most influential authors of 20th century. Your guide will unveil some of Jewish Town’s old stories and legends connected to this specific part of old Prague.
Continue to the Old Town Square, an old marketplace, originally built in the 11th century. It is only here where the true heart of Prague beats - on the most beautiful square in Prague, dominated by the splendid gothic Church of Our Lady Before Týn, monumental Church of St. Nicholas and the Old Town Hall. As the hour approaches, you get to see one of the Prague's highlights – the famous medieval Prague Astronomical Clock - which has been measuring time for more than six centuries. Traveler reviews
Three days of Prague ... intriguing and fairytale historical city
Great experience of the tour for the skill and knowledgeable historical preparation of the guide Dario who patiently illustrated the city the goodies the restaurants the anecdotes making us passionate and understand the culture and charm of Prague.
Great experience
Anna was an amazing guide, very knowledgeable about the Jewish history in Prague. Besides the main subject, she gave recommendations what synagogues and other places are worth visiting, and what local eateries are tourist traps and probably are not worth visiting. The tour was slightly delayed but I was warned about it via a message.
Walk in their shoes
The spirit of this place is to be honored and cherished. We cannot really understand the journey of the Jews without having shared it. Seeing the generations of gravestones stacked up because they were given no more room, seeing the names of the exterminated loving embossed around the walls, seeing the artifacts of children in the camps, brings us a bit closer, makes the stories we have heard more real. Time spent in this neighborhood is not morbid; you will come away richer for the experience.
Jewish History and Old Town WalkingTour of Prague
Excellent guide - I came away with a very detailed view of the Jewish Quarter and the Old Town. I went back to see the sites in more detail after the tour. Friendly and knowledgable guide.
Guide didn't show up
We signed up for this tour through TripMasters. Our did not show up, and did not contact us to let us know it was canceled. After waiting at the meeting point for 10 minutes, we contacted them. They told us the guide could not make it, and we would be refunded the cost of the tour. After we returned from our vacation, we contacted TripMasters, and they said they would contact the local company, and athat we would receive a refund in 1 to 2 weeks. It has now been 2 1/2 weeks, and still no refund. We again contacted TripMasters, and they said they have not received a response from the tour company. At this point, I doubt we will receive any type of refund.
