Ko Khao Phing Kan is a very high-leaning rock with several small caves inside. It’s pretty amazing and fun to check them all out. On its crowded eastern beach, there are stalls and stands selling souvenirs mostly made from shells and wood.
James Bond Island is a famous landmark in Phang Nga Bay. It first found its way onto the international tourist map through its starring role in the James Bond movie, The Man with the Golden Gun. A distinctive trait of this famous bay is the number of sheer limestone cliffs that vertically jut out of the emerald-green water.
Koh Panyi is a small Island with a plain of approximately 1 rai and 200 houses. Most of the dwellers are Thai Muslims, earning their living by Fishing and selling souvenirs and Food to visitors. There is a school and public health centre, as well.

Traveler reviews
Beautiful boat trip
Nice to experience it, very well organized but far too many tourists to really enjoy it. 4hrs queues from Krabi round trip.
Not what we expected James Bond Island Tour
This Tour was really not what we expected the first stop at the Monkey cave Temple was rushed and we only had just over 20 minutes instead of the advertised 30 minutes. The second stop was at Panyee Island this was not as our itinerary had shown and we were there for about an hour and 20 minutes longer than expected and to be honest this was a bit of a let down . We then went to a floating stop so people could do canoeing which was strange on a tour that specified no canoeing and we had an hour wait here just sitting around while other groups went canoeing. We then went to James Bond Island but only got 40 mins and not the hour on the itinerary which was really disappointing. In summary this trip was nothing like what we expected or the itinerary shown prior to booking the trip.
Don’t waste a day of your vacation
This is pretty much a tourist trap. I would recommend just doing a trip to only James Bond island if that is what you want to see like we did. The pickup was on time and it was an hour and a half drive to the temple. We had a little time there. (Although others on our trip mentioned that they only had under 10 min at the temple. Which is basically enough time to run up to it and back to the car) We continued to the boat dock with a very large group of people. The boat is very loud and run down. When arriving to James Bond island you see immediately that it is absoluty packed. The person on the boat with us Cindy just told us what time to be back and no other info. (That’s all we got for the whole trip. There was no guide or information provided like the booking states there should be). When it was time to get back to the boat Cindy was no where to be seen and no one knew which boat to get on as they are all the same. There was so much confusion. This was now over 4 hours into the trip and no water was provided yet. The booking states drinking water is provided. So we had to purchase water for high prices both at the temple and the island. Next we get taken to a floating dock where you just sit and wait for an hour while a different tour kayaks. This was useless and a complete waste of time. Everyone was very annoyed. Also heard them explaining to all of the kayakers that an minumum of 100 tip is expected….they don’t take 20 or 50…. After you get taken to the floating village which is not actually floating, you can’t really walk around it and you are just stuck at the restaurant there. Overall don’t waste a day of your vacation on this.
Beautiful view despite rain
The boat ride was stable although there was rain on and off. Luckily, we brought raincoats. They do sell raincoats at the wharf. The view was nice. We were lucky that the weather was good when we reached James Bond Island. About the canoe ride in Talu Island, we eventually took the canoe ride as they have someone to row for us. Views are nice too.
James Bond Island for a James Bond fan
Big fan of James Bond so felt I had to see the famous island! Before the trip we thought we wouldn’t be bothered about any of the extra activities…but the floating village was great too. We didn’t canoe…but on speaking to other guests who did - they said it was a highlight. The guides were superb - and we felt really looked after.
