Good to know
- It is recommended to book transport to the departure point in advance. Please also allow extra time to get to the departure point for check-in. We advise you arrive at least 15 minutes before the tour departure to allow time to check-in for the tour. Unfortunately, we are unable to hold the bus or refund for any late arrivals.
- Return times are approximate and subject to road conditions and weather. Please ensure you allocate sufficient time for any onward travel plans, allowing at least 3 hours after the scheduled return time for connections or activities.
- Children under 5 years old, including infants who do not require a seat, are not permitted to travel. We are unable to accommodate any child under the age of 5.
- Eilean Donan Castle can be subject to closures for private events. If so, additional time will be allocated elsewhere and the castle will be a photo stop.
- If downloading an audio guide, remember to bring your headset.
- Due to vehicle availability, there may be instances where this tour runs on a bigger bus.

Karen was the absolute best! She made our tour fun and made sure to get us everywhere safely! I would definitely recommend for friends and family!

Tour was great. Karen our guide was wonderful.
Karen was an amazing guide. Informative and cheerful the whole time. She took us to and pointed out great things to see and photograph. The downside was the seating for my tall husband, plus bags could not be placed on luggage rack, only coats. A bit uncomfortable. I also started the 12 hour journey with a very wet coffee seat from one of the other passengers. Fortunately Karen responded very quickly to allow me to change seats, but it was a very uncomfortable trip for the first 4 hours until I finally dried off.
10/10 Amazing Day
Karen was the most amazing guide and created a special day for the entire group. Cannot say enough good things. Would 1000% book with her and this tour group again.
King Torqil reigns supreme!!
We had a fantastic day with Torqil as our guide. He was fun and entertaining while also being a clear communicator and keeping us on time. He’s so good at his job, there’s actually a statue of him as you’re entering Skye ;-) We were able to make several stops and the landscapes on Skye were seriously breathtaking! It’s a long day but there were lots of stops to use the restroom, take pictures, and get food. The bus was small and comfortable (just 12 of us total), and Torqil asked us several times if we needed the temperature adjusted. As with all of these types of group tours, even the longer stops fly by quickly, so I suggest planning ahead how you want to use your time. Eilean Donan was packed so we had to skip over a few things to get back to the bus on time. And Portree is a sweet little town - I almost wish I had packed a sandwich for lunch so I could have wandered the town and done some shopping. But our lunch at Cuchullin was really great. I’ve done a number of these group/bus tours, and I would definitely recommend this one. Getting to experience Skye without having to do the driving was a treat!
