Karen villages are scattered across the countryside of northern Thailand. They can be found in just about every province and district in northern Thailand, such as Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai, and Mae Hong Son. Traditionally, the Karen people prefer to dwell in mountainous highland areas. Many traditional villages can still be found in remote areas of Thailand, where the Karen still live in primitive conditions in bamboo stilt houses.

The Wachirathan Waterfall (pronounced “wah-chee-rah-TAHN”; also spelled Vachirathan or Nam tok Vachirathan) was the second major waterfall that we encountered on the way up to the summit of Doi Inthanon. Of all the waterfalls we saw in Doi Inthanon National Park, we thought this one had the most power and spray. 5 - hours will be spent at the attractions and the remaining (4 hours) will be allotted for the travel time from pick up until drop off.
