Traveler reviews
I spent my birthday on the yacht on the way to 🍊🐟Orange Bay.
And it was wonderful. On board, there was very good music. In the middle of the ocean, we stopped to jump into the water and go snorkeling. When I saw 1 million harmless, non-stinging mini jellyfish on my fifth jump, I almost drowned from shock :D and immediately went back on board. At some point, I noticed that one of the crew took one of those jellyfish from the water and simply threw it directly onto the ship, and then I knew, okay, those creatures are harmless. Eventually, I realized that one of the crew members took one of those jellyfish from the water and simply threw it onto the ship, and then I knew, okay, those creatures are harmless. The crew was amusing, funny, and friendly. We had so much fun. One of them tricked me and said I should form a kind of ring with another tourist using our arms so he could make a splash in the water. In doing so, he intentionally pushed us into the water, of course. So it was really funny. The food was not that great. The crispy chicken was rock hard, but the rest of the food, the rice and so on, was of course delicious. :D There was also breakfast, which even surprised me because it wasn't mentioned in the description. I think that's great. Arrived. In Orange Bay, we took a small boat from the yacht to the dock and walked in leisurely. Everything was wonderfully dreamy. And not at all as overly party-like as it is now at Ballermann. A group of tourists even danced along with choreography all the time. However, the music was not so loud that you couldn't also take a break. So overall, it was very nice. You just have to walk about 10 km into the water to finally have the water up to your waist. But my goodness, the water is crystal clear and simply amazing. Really beautiful. You just had to follow up more often because parasailing is included in the booking, and if I hadn't mentioned it, it would have totally slipped through the cracks because no one from the crew knew anything about it. Two others who were on board with me had the same problem. However, because we insisted that they take care of it since we had paid for it, it was no problem to comply, and so when we returned from Orange Bay, we could go directly with a transfer to the marina and participate in the parasailing, and even spontaneously take the helm of the boat ourselves :D
Amazing Parasailing, Mixed Snorkeling Experience
Our Orange Bay snorkeling experience was mostly average. What I disliked most was having so many different guides, all with completely different approaches. Our first snorkeling attempt was honestly uncomfortable because the guide rushed us into the water without properly helping us adjust the gear, so we struggled a lot and almost gave up on the experience altogether. Thankfully, another guide later stepped in and was much more patient and understanding after realising it was our first time snorkeling. He calmly walked us through everything, and the second attempt ended up being really enjoyable. Because of the second guide’s patience, one of us felt comfortable enough to try diving, and it actually turned out to be a great experience. The other person, however, still chose not to continue because the earlier experience of being rushed into the very salty water had already made her uncomfortable. When she attempted the diving session, the same issue happened again, water kept getting into her gear just like during the first snorkeling experience , so she immediately left the water and decided not to continue. We were still charged an extra fee for her anyway, probably for wearing the diving gear despite not actually diving 🥲 Overall, the experience was okay, but if I were to do it again, I’d probably choose a different company, preferably one with a more organised system where one main guide leads while others assist. The food was lovely, but the drinks and fruits were not as plentiful as the advert made them seem. The Orange Bay stop itself was also just okay. The second part of the experience was parasailing, and this was absolutely beautiful. The team there was far more organised and none of them were pushy at all, which made our first-time experience genuinely enjoyable.
Pleasantly surprised
We were pleasantly surprised by the level of service. Everything was square from start to finish. Snorkelling very well. I recommend.
Disorganized and with little attention to detail
Too many people on the boat, and during the trip they tried to sell bottle dive. We ended up staying only in a snorkeling site due to the weather conditions. Instead of dividing time and going to the island earlier, we spent little time in the water and more time on the boat. People getting sick and sick. On the way to the island we stayed only 1:30, on such a long walk, clearly little time. Weak and disorganized board meal.
You can pass
Booking via Viator doubles the price. People around me paid between 20€ and 30€ The team on the boat was great and the sights are beautiful. Orange bay is really a worthless and overcrowded tourist catch Lunch is basic from home basic But the worst part is the so-called luxury transfer between my hotel and the marina: vehicle not registered as a tourist vehicle, so my hotel wouldn t let me go for fear of scamming. Vehicle old, dirty and not air-conditioned. Once you get to the marina, no one explains anything to you, you get on a random boat, it's not the right one you change boats...
