Not good

It was not a good experience. For €50 each I expected a lot more stories to be told. Did not enjoy it at all

Gorgeous views!

This hike is not for a non hiker. It was up hill at a pretty quick pace the whole time. The view was spectacular and the tour guide was so cool. Not scary at all I’m not sure why it advertised professional actors but there were none. All in all though it was beautiful and a fun experience!

Amazing

The tour was amazing, and our guide was great and had tons of information on the location and background. Will definitely recommend!!

An excellent, unique experience

A bus ride up to the hill with a guide who really knows his history, and then a walk through the woods (sometimes off the path) just after sunset. There was still just a bit of colour in the sky when we came out of the woods and saw the site silhouetted against it. The guide taught us about the Hellfire Club outside of the site and then we went in. I remember thinking 'well we're definitely staying out here I'm not going in there' before realising that yes, actually, we were going in there. I'm glad I did because while there is definitely something that feels 'off' about the place (maybe just got myself worked up) it also felt less creepy for having experienced it. They have a couple lanturns per group and you also get your own lanyard with a light and a thing you can use to make noise if you get separated. It'd be pretty hard to get separated unless you deliberately left the group, but it's nice to know you have the light especially if you need it. You might just to watch your feet on some of the less even ground. Wear good shoes. Your shoes and the bottoms of your pants may get muddy on the way up or down. Watch out for horse poo on the path. The view of Dublin from the site is incredible.

Great tour! Lovely guides!

Really cool experience! My husband and I had seen the Hellfire club years ago on Ghost Adventures and as we were vacationing around Ireland we had to go. It’s tucked away so I definitely recommend a tour over trying to find it yourself. This tour was great. The guides were informative and friendly and it was just a short ride from Dublin. The walk up is a bit long, 20 minutes or so, but not too difficult. Loved seeing this place in person, you’ll get a good bit of the history from the guides. Highly recommend!
