Simon was a great guide, the van was clean and spacious, the stops were spread out in perfect timing, lunch was tasty. All in all a very memorable and pleasant experience.

The team stayed in touch throughout, sending timely reminders for pickup and even checking in to confirm details like our contact number to ensure everything would run smoothly on the day. That level of organisation and care immediately gave us confidence that we were in good hands. On the day of the tour, Matt arrived right on time and set the tone for what turned out to be an absolutely fantastic journey. From start to finish, everything flowed seamlessly under his guidance. What really made the experience special was how much knowledge and passion he shared along the way. He didn’t just focus on the main attractions like Hobbiton and the Glowworm Cave. He brought the whole journey to life with fascinating insights about Auckland and New Zealand in general, making even the drive feel meaningful and engaging. Matt also had a real talent for making the experience extra comfortable for everyone. He gave us thoughtful tips, like the best seats for the most scenic views, which made a noticeable difference in how much we enjoyed the trip. One of the most impressive touches was how he organised our lunch in advance like taking our orders early so the café could prepare everything ahead of time. It might seem like a small detail, but it made everything so smooth and stress-free when we arrived. Beyond being organised and knowledgeable, Matt was genuinely one of the friendliest and most attentive guides we’ve ever met. He made a point to check in with every passenger throughout the day, always making sure everyone was comfortable, safe, and enjoying themselves. You could really tell he cared, not just about the schedule, but about the people on the tour. His warmth and easygoing nature made the whole group feel relaxed and connected. There were also some lovely unexpected highlights that made the day even more special. On the way, Matt stopped at a charming ice cream shop in Pukeno and even recommended a flavour for us to try. We went with his suggestion and it did not disappoint! It was such a simple moment, but it added a fun and personal touch to the journey. By the end of the trip, we honestly didn’t want it to end. It was one of those rare experiences where everything just comes together perfectly ,the places, the people, and the guide who ties it all together. A huge shout-out to Matt, the Cheeky Kiwi team, and everyone behind the scenes who made this experience so seamless and memorable. We would absolutely travel with Cheeky Kiwi again in a heartbeat, and if we’re lucky enough, we’d love to have Matt as our guide once more. Our guide Hanoz was amazing! He made my experience extremely memorable and he was very knowledgeable about NZ and the places we were traveling to. I would definitely recommend this to people I know if all tour guides were like Hanoz.

What an amazing experience! Everything that I expected and much more! Our guide Liam was very knowledgeable and told so many wonderful facts and stories all throughout the journey, now I know so much more about New Zealand. There was a lovely and friendly atmosphere and lots of fun
