Itinerary

1

Located near the town of Ninh Binh, 90 km south of Hanoi, Hoa Lu Ancient Capital is the capital of an ancient Vietnamese Kingdom called Dai Co Viet in the 10th century. This small Kingdom covered an area of only 300 hectares, and reigned from the 10th century, during the Dinh and Le dynasties, to the 11th century, during the Ly Dynasty. The Kingdom was enclosed by a citadel. The citadel and the Yen Ngua limestone hills provided a good defence for this kingdom against the Chinese.

The cave brings you one of the best panoramic view of one of the nicest sceneries in Viet Nam- that’s Ninh Binh- which is known as a wonder of the world, the Telegraph from UK said “It’s an area known locally as Vietnam’s ‘Inland Halong Bay’” or Mua Cave – The Vietnamese “Great Wall of China” This can’t be denied since more and more foreigners choose Mua Cave( Hang Mua – Vietnamese name) for their short holidays while being in the north of Viet Nam.

Duration: 1 hourAdmission: YES

Often refered to as “Halong Bay on Land” due to the lush green rice paddies and towering limestone cliffs, Tam Coc and Ninh Binh are areas of Vietnam that are all too often overlooked by visitors. Just 2 hours south of the bustling city of Hanoi, we think that Tam Coc is one of the best places to visit in Vietnam.

Great trip with the family to experience a picturesque Ninh Binh

Fantastic full day tour with the family! Harley, our travel agent from Crossing Tour Vietnam did a great job setting us up with this tour. She made sure it was the right tour for us, and checked in with us before and after the tour to make sure we were prepared and enjoyed the tour. Our tour guide was from Ninh Binh so he knew a lot about the history and culture of the area. The group was sizeable for us to meet new people but also intimate enough for us to get the attention and have our questions answered. If you like an adventure, then this is the perfect trip where you get to experience some hiking, biking, a beautiful boat ride through winding rivers and under cool caves. There’s a quick stop on the trip from Hanoi for a bathroom and food break, and lunch is arranged half way through the day. The only rough patch was the traffic back, but that’s what we get for scheduling on New Year’s Day. Our driver did everything possible to get us back at the earliest possible. Thank you to Harley for arranging for us, and to Son our tour guide :)
