I cannot recommend this tour enough. If you are visiting Medellín, especially for the first time, do yourself a favor and book a tour with Deisy Berrio. From the very first moment, the passion that Deisy feels for Medellín was contagious. It was evident that this is not simply a job for her. She truly loves her city, and that enthusiasm is reflected in every story, every stop, and every corner she shares during the tour. At the end of the tour, I ended up appreciating Medellín much more because I was able to see it through the eyes of someone who truly loves its history, its culture, and its people. Her knowledge was impressive. She explained the history of El Centro and La Candelaria in a very entertaining way, easy to understand and full of fascinating facts. Every plaza, church, monument, and street had a story behind it, and she managed to bring them to life with a lot of energy and charisma. In addition, she showed us small details and hidden corners that I would never have discovered on my own. The tour was very well planned. We visited the most iconic places, but we also explored lesser-known sites that make this neighborhood so special. It was the perfect balance between the most important tourist spots and those authentic places that only a local guide knows. But what really made this tour special was Deisy's personality. She is incredibly kind, warm, outgoing, and very approachable. She made us all feel welcome and answered every question with enthusiasm. More than a guided tour, I felt like I was touring the city with a friend who knows and deeply loves Medellín. As I am currently learning Spanish, I also really appreciated the very clear way she explained everything. I understood approximately 60 to 70% of the tour, and even so, I found it absolutely fascinating. It was not only an incredible tour, but also an excellent opportunity to practice my Spanish comprehension. Honestly, this was one of the best experiences of my trip to Medellín and one of those memories that I know I will keep for many years. Thank you, Deisy, for sharing your city with such pride, affection, and enthusiasm. You made Medellín come to life for all of us. 10/10. I recommend this tour and, especially, Deisy Berrio to anyone visiting Medellín.
