Itinerary
Disembark at the site of the 1815 Battle of New Orleans at the Jean Lafitte National Historical Park and Preserve, where you can tour the Chalmette Battlefield including the Malus-Beauregard House and the Chalmette Monument before re-boarding for the return cruise.
Chalmette Battlefield is located in the Jean Lafitte National Park, making it an exciting and special addition to your river cruise!

- Parking is available near the dock; however, public transportation options are also accessible.

- Bags are checked before boarding the vessel to ensure safety during the cruise.
- Subject to favorable weather conditions. If altered or canceled due to poor weather, cruise may remain dockside in the event of unfavorable sailing conditions.
- Due to limited capacity, refund requests made less than 24 hours prior to departure will NOT be considered. This includes missing the attraction for any reason. However, your ticket is transferable and valid for up to one year.
- The Creole Paddlewheeler is Wheelchair accessible with a weight-restricted mechanical lift. However, the Chalmette Battlefield Park is not wheelchair accessible for handicap passengers at this time.
- Boarding begins at 1:30 PM and the vessel departs at 2 PM sharp. Due to Coast Guard regulations, we are unable to extend departure time to accommodate individual guests.

The Queen Creole historical trip is the best in New Orleans!!
This was an awesome experience. The entire crew was very friendly and helpful. Charles Chestnut was amazing as our narrator/story teller of the history of New Orleans. He is very knowledgeable and hilarious. If you have to choose between the Natchez or the Queen Creole, choose the Queen Creole. It was a lot more fun.
Disappointed
River cruise offered up a lot of history as we went along. I had hoped for more time going up the river but it was mostly spending time at the battlefield. In the middle of summer it isn’t the best time to go especially since they don’t offer morning cruises this time of year. It’s way too hot and humid to be hiking around. It was a bit of a walk from the boat to the battle ground and there were a lot of steps. Ships bar offered a wide variety of drinks. They had free ice water but bar lady didn’t mentioned it to me when I asked for water and ended up paying $3 a bottle. Found out later there was the free water. I would look for a different boat ride unless you are mainly interested in the historic battlefield.

Meals have limited selections... especially desserts and you only have water not even tea as a "free" drink selection

Buffet is good. Crew is friendly. The historian was entertaining while recounting the facts of the battle.

We had a wonderful time! Everyone was super nice and very helpful! It was a nice relaxing ride full of interesting information.
