⚠️ Avoid this tour company – my experience with Discover Scotland Tours
I booked the Loch Ness, Inverness & the Highlands 2 Day Tour from Edinburgh operated by Discover Scotland Tours through Viator. When I made my booking, my confirmation and the information provided to me clearly stated that accommodation was included. I also have screenshots and emails confirming this. However, during the tour I was informed that accommodation was not included, leaving me with no choice but to find a hotel at the last minute, costing me over £200 out of pocket. What concerns me most is that after I raised the issue, I noticed the tour listing had been changed and no longer showed accommodation as included. Since I retained my original booking confirmation, screenshots, and emails, this has made the situation even more concerning from a customer perspective. I have asked Viator to investigate and submitted all supporting evidence, including my booking confirmation, screenshots, correspondence, and hotel receipt. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this tour or this operator. If you’re considering booking with Discover Scotland Tours, I strongly recommend taking screenshots of every detail before you pay and carefully verifying exactly what is included. I hope my experience helps other travelers avoid the inconvenience, unexpected expense, and disappointment that I faced.

Stay in the highlands
It is a great pleasure to be guided and led by a friendly, attentive and competent guide. The different stops are varied and give us a good idea of the history and lifestyle of the inhabitants of the highlands. And the landscapes are grand and quite unique.
Great Tour!!!
We took the Highlands tour on July 16th as a family of five and had a wonderful experience. Our guide Jaime was fantastic — fun, punctual, attentive, and shared really interesting and timely information throughout the day. The places we visited were incredible, with stunning landscapes at every stop. Jaime made sure every break, whether for meals or restrooms, was well-organized and comfortable. Excellent experience!!
This trip was the highlight of our visit to Scotland! It has a good number of stops, and because the trip is two days, you don't have to hurry; you can take your time. The biggest reason these were my very favorite days was our excellent guide, Fionn!! Never have I met a guide who knows so much about the country, the history, the environment, actually everything.
