Traveler reviews
Lots of driving. Castle wasn't anything special, nor was the little hamlet we stopped in.
You spend a lot of time in the van. Driver gave good info. Although it appeared to be safe, he was a fast driver.
Nice Day in Scotland
We had Johnny as our driver. He was a good driver, friendly and funny. He chatted with the group of us for most of the trip and answered questions. There was not a separate tour guide so not as much detail as we come to expect on tours like this. We had a couple spots for pictures and twop longer stops. We stopped at a little town on a lake, Loch Luss for 50 min. We really didn't know anything about its background . we walked around by ourselves and took some pictures and got back on the bus. The bigger stop was Castle Invernay with gardens and you could also walk to small town 15 minutes away. we were there for 2 hours and 45 minutes. This was not a tour either. You just self explore. The castle has about 10 rooms which we did in about an hour. There were other groups there with a guide giving the tour. This was a nice day but for $150 per person, we thought it expensive for what it was. The star is really the Scottish countryside which is beautful. Oh, we also ate in the cas t le tea room. Scones are great.
Inverary Castle and the Highland Lochs
The drive to and from the Castle was beautiful, and our kilted guide Chris gave us history and culture along the way. The tour of Inverary Castle was impressive, and the castle grounds were amazing. It was easy to locate our coach, which was just the right size for comfort and group management. We were returned to our ship in good time.
Excellent tour & guide
Excellent tour. Billy, our tour guide, was friendly, knowledgeable and punctual. This tour was limited to 16 which was so nice. There were gift bags waiting for us when we boarded the van that included chocolate, cookies and a bottle of water. We left at 8 am and beat most other tour buses to each location. Highly recommend this tour.
We had a great day.
Great guide, small group, prompt group very nice day
