Itinerary
From here, you take the single-track road through one of Scotland’s National Nature Reserves. Your driver-guide tells you about the woodland regeneration in the area and may give you a chance to get a view over the area and enjoy a close look at the native pine trees.
In the scenically situated town of Sheildaig, you have a refreshment before taking on one of the most beautifully twisting roads in Scotland. This road may be the most photographed road on the famous North Coast 500 route.
There's an ancient chapel here and a famous pub that serves delicious seafood.
At Loch Duich, you find Eilean Donan Castle situated on a small island accessed by bridge. You can visit the castle or simply enjoy the view from the visitor centre, which has a café, shop, and toilets. The journey back to Inverness passes the Five Sisters of Kintail Mountain range, historic Glenshiel, Loch Ness, and the Great Glen.

Wonderful scenery and tour guide
Just taken this tour today with Camille, and I cannot recommend it highly enough - and I'm a tour guide in the Highlands! Camille's driving was fantastic, the scenery was wonderful, her stories and knowledge was first class and it was a really amazing day. Lunch at the Applecross Inn was great, and it's a lovely thing Rabbies do in reserving a table for all the guests as there isn't a lot of choice in the West Highlands. Can I also recommend the gift shop in Applecross - unique gifts and a very nice owner. Thanks Camille for giving me the confidence to drive this route next week :-)
Awesome !!!
Absolutely magical experience. I loved travelling with Elidith — she has a real personality as a guide. Her stories were told in such an engaging, natural way that the journey felt alive, not scripted. She also made plenty of thoughtful stops for photos in truly breathtaking spots, which made the whole trip even more special. It was one of those experiences that stays with you long after it ends.
Amazing trip; highly recommend
Took my parents aged 80 and 89 to Scotland and we mainly did train journeys. We decided to take this tour as an alternative and we weren’t disappointed. Our guide was amazing and we stopped multiple times on our journey to have a photo opportunity. We learnt lots about Scotland and enjoyed the breath taking views. The small coach was also extremely comfortable. I would highly recommend.
Spectacular!
The scenery on this tour was amazing! And our driver/guide Liam helped make the experience even better. Highly recommended.
Outstanding
Scott was a fantastic tour guide and driver, easily one of the best I’ve had on the numerous other day tours I’ve done throughout Ireland, Iceland, Norway, Switzerland, and other similar scenery. The sights themselves were extraordinary and rivalled those of anywhere else I have been — this really did exceed my (high) expectations. I’m so impressed.
