Harry was an excellent...

Harry was an excellent guide! A perfect mix of education around Scottish history and geography. The day was busy, but was very worth it! The itinerary with the photo/bathroom breaks helped make the day go by quickly, and didn't feel as long as it was! Would definitely recommend!

A must do if you’ve only...

A must do if you’ve only got a few days in Scotland and want a whistle stop tour of the main Highland sights. Our tour was made by our tour guide Kyle - he was personable, knowledgable and kept us informed yet entertained throughout. Highly recommend.

A Perfect Day Exploring the Scottish Highlands

We had an amazing day exploring the Scottish Highlands with our guide, Sandy. The trip is definitely worth recommending! It lasts the whole day, but the time really flies by, especially with Sandy, who knows so much about Scottish history and is full of interesting and fun facts. We stopped about every hour, which made the long drive very comfortable, and we got to see everything that was listed in the tour description. It was a fantastic experience from start to finish, and I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone visiting Scotland!

Glenfinnan Viaduct tour

We had such a great experience on the Glenfinnan Viaduct tour! Sandy was an amazing guide. He knew so much about the history and shared a lot of interesting information throughout the trip. His recommendations were also spot on, and he knew exactly when to make the stops so we could get the best views. The tour is about 12 hours, but honestly, the time went by so quickly. Sandy was also very attentive during the train stop. He told us he would wait for the train to pass before leaving because he wanted to make sure we got to see what we came there for. That really showed how much he cared about everyone having a good experience. Even though it was raining, we still got to see the viaduct and take some great pictures, so I’d say we were very successful! 😂 And to finish the day, we stopped to see the Highland cows, which was such a fun surprise and honestly one of my favorite parts of the trip. 🐮❤️ Overall, an amazing day and definitely worth it. Sandy was fantastic, and I would absolutely recommend this tour!

Magical Highlands experience

Our Glenfinnan Viaduct, Glencoe & Loch Shiel Tour was absolutely amazing! While the weather was ‘typically Scottish” – it was mostly misty and at times drizzling – we were still amazed by the marvellous landscape, which seemed especially magical due to the weather. Seeing an actual steam train ride over the Glenfinnan Viaduct and a family of hairy coos just north of Perth were just some of the highlights we got to see on our tour. We also particularly enjoyed the drive along the astonishing Glen Coe and the stop at the Glencoe Visitor Centre, which was our lunch stop and where we could catch a last glimpse of Glen Coe and see a remodelled turf house. Our guide, Douglas, was very nice and funny. He told us numerous interesting stories about Scotland and the local areas we passed by or stopped at, which made the four-hour drive to Glenfinnan even more entertaining. I particularly enjoyed that he introduced us to a wide range of different Scottish songs on our way back to Edinburgh. Moreover, just before reaching the city, we made an additional short stop to be able to see the Forth bridges, which we really appreciated. We also enjoyed the relatively small group size. We will definitely book another tour with Discovery Scotland Tours on our next Scotland trip! Highly recommend!
