Pass by: Visit this buzzing Chiado square where Lisbon’s artistic soul meets its nightlife. At its center stands Luís de Camões, watching over the city’s lively scene.
Pass by: Pass by A Brasileira, a landmark café from 1905. Stop by the bronze statue of Fernando Pessoa, one of Lisbon’s most iconic photo spots.
Pass by: Pass by Livraria Bertrand, the world’s oldest operating bookstore. Located in Chiado, this iconic spot reflects Lisbon’s rich literary heritage and timeless charm, perfect for a quick glimpse into the city’s cultural soul.
Visit this restaurant in Chiado that blends history and flavor in a unique underground setting beneath a former church space. Enjoy caldo verde, a traditional portuguese soup, and a classic bifana, paired with craft beer in this elegant yet cozy spot.
Pass by: Stroll past the hauntingly beautiful ruins of a 14th‑century convent and church left roofless after the 1755 Lisbon earthquake. Its striking Gothic arches and historic façade are a powerful reminder of the city’s past.
End the tour on the perfect note, at Fábrica da Nata, famous for its award-winning Portuguese custard tarts. Crispy, creamy, and freshly baked, these iconic treats have been voted Lisbon’s best year after year. A sweet must-try on your food tour.

Traveler reviews
Off the beaten path
The many restaurants on Via Augusta are all well and good, and many are very good, but this tour takes you off the beaten path to little nooks and crannies you’d probably not get to by yourself, on holiday. Go early in your stay - then go back to the ones you liked. Oh, and Leonor(?) was lovely.
Great evening

Super Fun Food Tour
Our tour guide Leo was amazing and so knowledgeable. We had an amazing time on the food tour and all the stops were spectacular.
Excellent food tour
We (a couple) were joined by 3 others on this tour, with our amiable guide, Gabriel. It was a good thing that we started at the highest point of the tour and could navigate down the narrow and sometimes steep streets. Gabriel provided a great overview of Portuguese history and the wide-ranging influences on current modern Portuguese food (I guess that’s what happens when you’ve dominated the world centuries ago). He made sure we were well-fed and not thirsty. We finished off with pasteis de nata and his recommendation to sprinkle a little cinnamon on them was a revelation to all of us. And after that, he gave us some recommendations for local dining spots that we followed. Overall, a great tour.
