We take you to Long Bien Bridge, one of the pride and inconic architecture in Hanoi for beautiful photos and great views of the beautiful green Oasis Red River countryside with peaceful and tranquil villages and farms under the bridge.
Especially, we take you to the famous Hanoi Train Street for photo oppotunity and witness the mesmerizing sight of trains passing by just inch away from your face . It creates cherished memories that will last a lifetime. Despite the famous TRAIN STREET of Hanoi recently has been CLOSED by the local government, we know exactly HOW, WHEN & WHERE to take you there to wait for and capture the fun moments of the day by sitting by the train street cafe and watching the train passing by. We guarantee that TRAIN STREET is a part of our trip. Can we see the train passing train-street? There is no train during the morning tour, we will still take you there to see the train street. If you want to see the train passing by the train-street, please take the AFTERNOON.
We are NOT visiting Hai Ba Trung temple but we just indicate the area of Hanoi where we take you to and expose the hidden gems of Hanoi, like a living museum about the day in the life of Hanoi People. What sets this tour apart from other classic city tours is our dedication to showcasing Hanoi’s hidden gems. Experience the true essence of Hanoi as you step into the shoes of a local and explore everyday establishments like charming cafes, local eateries, vibrant markets, and the warm confines of family homes, schools, and temples. This tour not only showcases the must-see attractions but also takes you off-the-beaten-path to truly experience the heart and soul of the city.
We have special Egg Coffee of Hanoi at Hidden Gem Cafe, a green hub in the Old Quarter. Like a recycling museum, a serene place in the hustling Old Quater Of Hanoi. Everything is creatively made from recycled materials.

Traveler reviews
Friendly guide but misleading/ incomplete tour itinerary
Jim’s English is very good and he happily answered as many questions as we threw him about his country. He did not seem to know or follow the tour itinerary so I wonder if he was filling in. The mausoleum was open but had long lines on a Saturday so he basically encouraged us to skip it all, without much explanation. He substituted the prison tour and walking around the free outside of the B52 display instead. We started with train street (coconut coffee is yum!) , then temple of literature, cursory stop at the Hoan Kiem bridge, basically nothing about the old quarter, minimal driveby explanation of French quarter. Tour ended 30 minutes early. I’m the kind of trip planner who chooses a tour based on the stated itinerary so I was disappointed by the lack of organization.
Cannot miss the back street tour!!
Totally exhilarating!!! The bike team and our guide were awesome. Knowledgable and brilliantly navigated the hell of Hanoi traffic!
Fun Experience!
Our tour was quite informative and lovely, led by our guide Johnny, we were kept informed and energized throughout the tour with his friendly energy. Also we had the perfect amount of stops and getting on and off of the vehicle to not over exert and tire ourselves out in this heat. He was a great tour guide would highly recommend him! And the tour was great, loved seeing the train street.
Enjoyable experience
Enjoyed the tour & experience with Johnny in Hanoi , taking us down the historical past and significance . Well Spoken , Knowledgable and funny , kept us engaged all through . Would highly recommend Backstreet Tours and Johnny the guide .
Saw loads and enjoyed the fresh air and good humour.
We had a last minute booking as we didn’t want to walk around the city after a long trip and our guide was excellent. The driver did a great job and Hai was funny, engaging and helpful. We saw everything we wanted to and had a delicious meal too. Thoroughly recommend this Jeep trip!
