Half-Day Florida Keys Snorkel Adventure

Taking this tour was one of the biggest regrets of my life. I booked this excursion with my boyfriend because it was his first time visiting the Keys, and we were really excited for the experience. Unfortunately, from the moment we arrived, things went downhill. It took over 30 minutes just to get everyone situated, and before we even left, we were told we couldn’t go to the destinations originally planned because of the weather and rough water conditions with 2–3 foot waves.Once we finally started the tour, the ride was extremely rough. At the first location, the water was so choppy that they decided to move us somewhere else. During this entire time, the boat ride was incredibly aggressive and uncomfortable for everyone onboard. When we arrived at the second location, the conditions were even worse. The waves in the middle of the ocean were 8–10 feet, and although people were encouraged to get in the water, it was nearly impossible to snorkel. The location itself was disappointing with very little marine life, and the waves were so intense that you were being pulled in every direction. Almost everyone on the boat got sick. More than half of the group around 30 people total were throwing up, including a pregnant woman onboard. People were miserable, yet we still weren’t leaving the area despite how dangerous the conditions felt. My boyfriend and I both had really bad episodes of throwing up where i nearly almost passed out. Honestly, someone could have gotten seriously hurt. We trusted this company to make safe decisions, and I truly do not believe we should have been taken out on the water today. The captain also stated how we were the only boat to go snorkeling in Key Largo, which was a bit odd. It should’ve been canceled and refunded and not have happened. Instead of enjoying a snorkeling experience, most people spent the entire trip violently seasick. As someone born and raised in Miami, I’m fortunate that I can visit the Keys often, but I can only imagine how upsetting this would be for tourists or families visiting from another state or country who spent their vacation and money on this excursion.

This experience was amazing! Liber and Kate were incredible! They did such a great job. They were very helpful to first-time snorkelers, and guided through the whole process. The music was super fun and very 80s, it made the experience very exciting. We went to two different spots to snorkel. The first spot was better because there were more reefs and wildlife. Saw a bunch of different marine life. 10/10

Fun time with captain and first mate. First reef had the most to see and the Jesus statue . Highly recommend !

Capt. Caiti and Liber were great! They even made listening to all the rules fun! They were knowledgable and we had a great day snorkeling with them. Highly recommend! On a side note, I get sea sick pretty easy so I was concerned. I took my Bonine and Capt. Caiti said to sit in the middle of the boat, which I did. We could still see the shore although we were out a bit. NOT ONE PROBLEM for me! Unbelievable! (I brought some ginger chews too).

Liber and Katie were awesome and made for a very enjoyable day snorkeling! Thank you very much! Hope to come again!
