Fantastic tour with MoAfrika & Lebo
We booked a private half-day tour with MoAfrika. We’d already booked our tickets for Sterkfontein Caves, Maropeng - Cradle of Humankind and the Apartheid Museum, so we had fixed entry times which MoAfrika was happy to work around. Lebo was our driver / guide and wow, how fantastic! He was prompt, picking us up at 07:30. The vehicle was great (they accommodated our family’s height by providing a 10-seater van). But best of all is Lebo himself. He’s super knowledgeable and not only did he provide us with lots of information about Jo’berg and South Africa but we had great conversations on the state of the world generally. The caves and the apartheid museum were both superb. In my opinion Maropeng isn’t worth a visit (except to see the surroundings). We’ve just had a most fantastic day and are looking forward to our full day tour with Lebo tomorrow to visit Soweto and tour Johannesburg.
Exceptional Guided Experience at the Apartheid Museum
I had a truly excellent experience visiting the Apartheid Museum in Johannesburg. What made the tour stand out was our guide—he was absolutely fantastic from start to finish. He took great care of our group, making sure everyone was comfortable and engaged throughout. Beyond that, he was very knowledgeable and provided deep, meaningful insights that really brought the history to life. His outgoing and friendly personality made it easy to ask questions and have great discussions along the way. This is not an easy subject, but he handled it with both professionalism and warmth, which made the experience even more impactful. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Johannesburg—especially if you get a guide like Lebo.
Tour enhanced by a great guide.
The tour was great! Especially Mr. Thapelo's explanations about the places and historical events, which greatly enriched the tour. There was a small initial scheduling confusion, which was quickly resolved and more than compensated for by the excellent tour.
Great half day
Great visit with Lebo. He knows a lot about his country and give very good explanation. The museum is fascinated and we learn a lot.
