Hadestown is a haunting, "steampunk" reimagining of the Orpheus and Eurydice myth, blending New Orleans jazz with soulful folk-pop. As an eight-time Tony winner, the show trades traditional Broadway gloss for a gritty, industrial aesthetic and intimate stagecraft, including a famous revolving floor and swinging lantern sequences. Its story of love, seasonal cycles, and resilience makes this ancient tragedy feel strikingly modern and emotionally urgent.

In the 2026 season, the production is energised by a stellar new principal cast, featuring Joshua Colley as the idealistic Orpheus, Jordan Tyson as Eurydice, and Tony winner J. Harrison Ghee as the charismatic narrator, Hermes. Joined by Gaby Moreno as Persephone and Gary Dourdan as Hades, this ensemble delivers a powerhouse performance backed by a live onstage band.
