Best distillery tour ever?
Decided to do this tour as I had previously only been to the cafe and shop and had enjoyed that visit. I have visited a fair few distilleries in Ireland and Scotland but was looking forward to this tour as I reckoned it would be a bit different. I was not disappointed. The tour, conducted by Cian, was fabulous. It was extremely entertaining and while the tour covered the usual aspects of how whiskey is made, it did so with a light touch, concentrating more on the founder and the brand. The tour progressed through a number of “rooms” such as the train station, the actual distillery works, and my favourite, PJ’s collection of curious items in the botanicals room where the flavouring of the gin is discussed. (Whiskey, gin and vodka are all produced here) Given that this distillery was only founded in 2014 they have created a superb brand with a tour to match. Possibly the best distillery tour yet!

What a Blast!
Luke is the best! So knowledgeable, fun, and a great communicator. Had a blast. And the tasting was amazing and am taking a couple whisky bottles home with me. An overall memorable time!
Nothing Smoother than Drumshanbo
I had an excellent time at Drumshanbo. The welcome was wonderful, the tour conducted by Shane was brilliant. He was so informative, enthusiastic and added anecdotal humour as well. The whisky tastings were divine as was the gin tasting afterwards. The gift shop had a terrific range of high quality and desirable items. This is clearly an exceptionally run and managed enterprise. A great deal of care and planning has gone in to the production of extremely high quality alcoholic beverages.
Whisky in a firebox
This tour is the best Whiskey tour in Ireland and the best I have ever done anywhere in the world. We were met by Luke and Saoirse and greeted with warm and friendly smiles. Our guide, Shane was professional and informative. He shared his knowledge and experience easily and expertly. The tastings were generous and well presented. The smooth whiskey taste will have legs for a long time. The cocktails served at the end were exquisite. You have to try the "whisky in a firebox".
