An incredible journey into the heart of rural Ireland and the inner sanctum of the first distillery in Connacht in over 101 years: The Shed Distillery of PJ Rigney – The home of Drumshanbo Gunpowder Irish Gin, Drumshanbo Single Pot Still Irish Whiskey and other remarkable creations from the curious mind of PJ Rigney. A fully-guided experience including an expert tasting of Drumshanbo Single Pot Irish Whiskey with one of our curious ambassadors and finishing with a refreshing Drumshanbo Gunpowder Irish Gin and Tonic at the Honey Badger bar in our majestic botanical glasshouse.

A Favourite!
My wife and I booked this for when we were enroute to the nearby Kilronan Castle. So glad we did! Easy to book online. Easy enough to find. Plenty of on site parking. The Shed itself is one of the most beautiful distilleries I've seen. A lot of effort and thought was put into the total package. The grounds themselves hold little nods to the distilleries origins and the history of the town. The tour itself is quirky, fun and informative, thanks to Brian who took us around. The bar at the end is just beautiful, with a great range of cocktails available. I availed of a non-alcoholic option as I was driving. The food in the restaurant area was delicious, and again a nicely presented space. Finally the Aladdins Cave of a gift shop. A fantastic room with every conceivable gin, whiskey and vodka related purchases you could imagine! If you are a gin, whiskey or vodka afficionado, this distillery tour is a must! A favourite. Go!
Great gin, wonderful tour
Saiorse, our tour guide was AMAZING. The tour was informative and interesting, I learnt heaps. The tour was well paced. I loved hearing about the genesis of the gin in particular. Great value for money, a whiskey tasting AND a gin cocktail (or mocktail if you prefer) included in the ticket price. Lovely surroundings in peaceful Drumshanbo. 💯 recommend

Staying in Carrick in Shannon and made the short drive to Drumshanbo for the Shed Distillery. An excellent tour, led by Aoibhe who was an engaging and knowledgeable guide throughout. The bar and cafe is fantastic and the Gunpowder products are enjoyable 😀
