Depart Stand A and proceed to the Jerbourg. Here, on the southeast cliff-top, many scenes from the book are set. See where Dawsey. Amelia & Isola "lived", as well as the lanes, meadows, and farmhouses where the colourful characters conducted their lives. Walk to the viewpoint for splendid views of the other Channel Islands and France on a clear day, where Elizabeth met her German lover Christian and watched the German warplanes flying over to drop their bombs on London. Wonderful tour, great guide.

We had a wonderful time with our guide Alexsander. He was really informative along the route. He also made extra stops since we had time for it. He offered to take pictures for us. He also provided a refreshment for everyone, be it water or a locally produced soda. Quite good! The tour description doesn’t accurately cover the scope of what’s seen along the way. We travelled over unique bridges and through tunnels that under the water. Even though the tour only lists 3 stops we made a few more pit stops to take photos of scenic areas. The transportation is a very comfortable black Mercedes van capable of holding around 20 people. We had a little trouble locating it at the meeting point but it’s fairly obvious if you look for the black van. All in all a very enjoyable way to see Alesund and some of the surrounding area. Would recommend.
