Itinerary
The best all day adventure combo on Rincon de la Vieja Volcano that includes ziplining, horseback riding, river tubing, full lunch, hot springs, and volcanic mud bath. Ziplining First you will get strapped in your harness and start the ziplining course through the canopy and canyons! The course takes you into a steep canyon over a turbulent river, where you will zipline, rappel and rock climb, cross hanging bridges and ride Tarzan swings. You will go down 8 zip line cables, 18 platforms, a climbing wall, a hanging bridge, “via ferrata” (cable) rappel, and a tarzan swing! Horseback Riding After ziplining, you will return to the tour base to prepare for a 45-minute horseback ride through the forest viewing the local flora and fauna of Rincon de la Vieja Volcano
River Tubing - You will have the time of your life bouncing down Rio Negro’s crystal clear and fun rapids in your individual rafting “tube” for over 5 kilometers. Lunch includes many choices of entrees and sides, dessert bar, fresh juice, coffee and tea. All dietary resctrictions can be accommodated
Hot Springs & Volcanic Mud Bath After lunch you will driven to the Hot Springs. Surrounded by tropical dry forest, the Río Negro (Black River) Hot Springs feature ten pools with thermal waters heated naturally by the Rincón de la Vieja Volcano.The soothing mineral waters are crystal clear and all natural, and the river flows through the pools constantly refilling them with water. Relax and enjoy luxuriating in our healing waters. You can also try our volcanic mud “bath”, where you smooth volcanic clay mud all over yourself like a spa “masque,” then after it dries, wash it off with a cool river water shower. The hot springs water will feel great afterwards!

An awsome experience for...
An awsome experience for me and my girlfriend as first time visitors of Costa Rica. We did the zip line, horse back riding, tubing, and hot springs. Everything was very fun and well organized but a very busy day. You move through the events quickly to get everything in. Thank you Kevin our tour guide for an amazing day!!
Jam-Packed Fun!
Jam packed day of fun experiences! The tubing river is a good balance of fast rapids and lazy river. The zip lining was very fast paced, which for me personally, took away from the experience and views. They were pumping people through very quickly like a conveyor belt. I didn’t feel like I had any time to stop and enjoy the views or experience because we were up and on each line so fast. The platform were also very crowded at times, which was a bit uncomfortable. Loved the horse back riding experience but wish it was longer. The food for lunch was classic Costa Rica casados and good variety of food. The hot springs were really neat, I loved that there were multiple temperatures to pick what’s best for you. It got a little too crowded near the end for my liking. Our driver Jose and tour guide (cannot remember her name 😅) were so friendly and helpful throughout the day. It was very nice to be able to leave our belongings safely on the bus and not worry about travel to and from the excursion. Don’t forget to bring water shoes!! A must for the springs and tubing.
Adventure
Most likely a long drive depending on where you’re staying before you reach the destination. The mud bath was not as expected. The pictures are somewhat inaccurate compared to the actual zipline, the horse ride was on rocks , not making the ride very enjoyable, but all and all, a fun adventure overall
Fun but felt rushed
Overall fun! My group and I did feel very rushed throughout the experience that they were just pushing us through each activity fast without being able to really just go at our own pace, especially with the zipline course.
A must do when in CR!
A must do for the active traveler! Can’t believe how many fun FUN experiences we had packed into one day!
