Great Barrier Reef snorkel

Amazing to see the reef but the experience felt very commercial and super crowded, even in the winter (on a Saturday). My friend and I were assigned to sit in a cramped booth with 2 other parties of 2, and there was not enough space. The first snorkel spot we went to didn’t have much to see other than one big fish that followed the photographer, though the second was better. We went on a windy, chilly day with minimal sunlight, and the main cabin AC was strong so we were cold the whole day. Overall would recommend doing this in the summer and on a less busy day and going in a big group to get a table to yourself.

Gold Lounge VIP Experience

Myself and my 3 adult children (22,20,18) experienced the Gold Lounge VIP for the day. If this is something you can afford book it and don’t question value for money. We were greeted and taken straight to our lounge before anybody else was on the boat we got given our safety briefing straight away explain how the day would work, got to make a coffee had muffins and scones waiting for us along with a fridge full of non-alcoholic drink, chips and chocolate bars. They restocked it for us the chocolate bars were a hit throughout the day for Energy! they made us feel incredibly welcome and looked after us so well the trip out and back was rough however they did provide us with sea sick tablets and we had taken tablets the night before to help so we were unaffected and it certainly didn’t effect our trip. Gold Lounge was so with it again the staff made you feel so welcome and truly looked after.
