Grand Canyon North Air and ATV Adventure

Experience the Wild West like a true cowboy on an adventure to historic Bar 10 Ranch! You’ll fly to this working ranch aboard a sightseeing airplane and enjoy an entire day of outdoor activities, including a guided ATV tour through Whitmore Canyon until you reach the Grand Canyon North. This all-day adventure departs from our state-of-the-art air terminal in Boulder City, Nevada. Enjoy aerial views of Hoover Dam, Lake Mead, the Colorado River, and the stunning desert landscape before you reach the air strip at Bar 10 Ranch. This historic working cattle ranch welcomes visitors to explore the property and socialize with the ranch hands. The highlight of the day will be a guided ATV tour through Whitmore Canyon’s rugged desert landscape until you arrive at the secluded Grand Canyon North. Enjoy time for sightseeing and photos before returning to the ranch. Here, you’ll enjoy a homemade barbecue lunch prepared by the Bar 10 staff in the ranch’s dining room. After a full day of outdoor adventure, you’ll return to the Boulder City air terminal aboard a sightseeing airplane. This is a seasonal experience and only operates from April 1 through November 18. Not available on Saturdays and Sundays in November. ATV riders must be a minimum of 16 years of age with a valid driver's license. One person is permitted per ATV. Papillon uses the De Havilland Twin Otter Vistaliner, one of the best aircraft in the world for sightseeing! Our specially-designed Twin Otters feature comfortable cabins that offer passengers the best opportunities for photographing the unbelievable panoramic views below them. The high-set wings also ensure that every seat has an unobstructed view. We also fly the Cessna Caravan, which offers comfort, optimal viewing, and a quiet ride for guests traveling to the Grand Canyon and beyond! The Cessna Caravan has large windows on both sides for the ultimate sightseeing opportunity. Ultimately, aircraft choice depends on passenger count, weather, and aircraft availability. The total flight time for the Grand Canyon North Air Ground Tour is approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes. The tour duration, if hotel transfers is selected, is about 7.5 to 8 hours. Boots or sturdy shoes are required (no open-toed shoes, sandals, high heels, or flip-flops are permitted), and ATV riders must be at least 16 years of age with a valid driver’s license.
