Traveler reviews
Definitely worth it
Everything is well arranged. Day vsn in advance you will be called with explanations. You will be received at a nice ranch and taken by bus to the helicopter. Enthusiastic pilot who gave good information.
Spectacular
Any helicopter flight is spectacular, but if it is over the Canyon, it becomes incredible. It always feels too short. The views are impressive. To be repeated a thousand times over.
I was a bit leery of this...
I was a bit leery of this because heights bother me. It was not scary at all. We were advised on safety issues before take off. We took off much later than planned. Be flexible.
Helicopter flight over the Grand Canyon
The booking with Viator and the subsequent contacts with the company were smooth and optimal. Good assistance before the booked flight. There have been many problems getting to the rendezvous point; in fact, there is no indication of the exact place to reach, which is located at a Ranch that apparently has nothing to do with a helipad. We were also misled by the incorrect directions of a lady at the ranch, who sent us to an airport that had nothing to do with our reservation. Fortunately we were able to clarify. In practice, the Helicopter Service Prescriber "5 Stars Helicopter" (also a good and nice pilot) is not sufficiently indicated and advertised. When you arrive at the rendezvous point you only see a ranch with cottages and a restaurant, with no indication of where the helicopter departs from. Also we thought there were at least 2 helicopters for our group (11 pax) actually the helicopter was only one and, therefore, we had to do two separate flights (first 5 then 6 pax) in two hours instead of just one in case of parallel flight of two helicopters.
