We really enjoyed the whale watching. The captain was a very good navigator of the waves and conditions. We saw many humpback whales very close to the catamaran but not so close that the whales were startled or in jeopardy. I appreciate that they respect the wildlife. They did an excellent job of making sure both sides of the boat got to see several whales. I know that doesn't always happen but our tour was great. There were many on the boat that experienced sea sickness and the crew went out of their way to help those they could. The sea is unpredictable, if you want to sit up front in the open, plan to get wet or wear good rain gear. Also take a Dramamine of equivalent about an hour prior to make the experience better. Free parking was a huge plus and well managed. An excellent job by all staff. The host may want to consider making pocket size disposable sickness bags available for sale. That would possibly spare the bathrooms for those who may need to use them.
Over Rated
Underwhelming. Saw only one whale- A young humpback. We did see a large pod of white sided Atlantic dolphins that helped to break up the tedium. This was our second trip with Cape Ann Whale Watch. The first trip yielded only three sightings back in October 2023. This will be our last with this group.

Friendly guidance, well maintained boat. Meeting and watching the dolphins was the highlight of the trip.

What an amazing trip! We were able to see many whales and dolphins! It was really great to see a mom and calf humpback whale. Tina, the guide, was so knowledgeable and informative.
Whales were amazing but parking meter sucked
The ONLY bad thing was the line for the parking meter so giving yourself extra time for that helps. Seeing all the humpback whales was amazing!!
