Traveler reviews
Great boat trip but lousy information and planning
The boat trip itself was fantastic but the planning and information around it was lousy. We were picked up at 9.45 in Cadiz and driven by car to Jerez - in the wrong direction. From there we went by bus to Gibraltar with a completely unnecessary stop along the way and arrived shortly after 12 o’clock. Then we are told that we will be at the dock for the boat trip at 2 pm. When we get there, we're told the boat leaves at 2:30. With the extra half an hour we would probably have made it up to Gibratar Rock to see the monkeys. We tried but had to turn around before we came all the way up.
Nice Define, but little time
The exact sequence was not transparent. We were picked up at the hotel by taxi, which then dropped us off at a gas station where we were supposed to wait for a bus. We didn't know that before. Unfortunately, we only had less than an hour in Gibraltar at leisure, which was just enough to eat something before the boat tour. The guides were very nice and the dolphins very impressive. After that we went straight back to the bus. Had we known the exact procedure beforehand, we would probably have booked something with more time in Gibraltar. Now the journey and the change of means of transport has swallowed too much time.
