Itinerary
The Giants Causeway, the main attraction of the North Antrim Coast is one of the brightest and best attractions on the whole island of Ireland. The Causeway itself has plenty of Irish myths for your guide to tell while your visit to the attraction is under way. To see the Giants Causeway is certainly breath-taking but to experience it with the beliefs of a giant actually building it, is another. The hexagonal patterns that create the different structure like formations through the rocks can be verified by none other than yourself with things like 'The Wishing Chair', 'The Camel', 'The Giants Foot' and the Cliff-Top Path, all of which you will be shown during your experience! Admission to the Giants Causeway is free although there are operational shuttle buses that cost £1 for transport to the Causeway from the carpark, alternatively you can walk the route with no cost at all. Admission to the Giant's Causeway is free, there is a separate fee into the visitors centre. **Please Note** Admission to the attraction is free! If you wish to go into the Visitors Centre there is a charge.
The Carrick-A-Rede rope bridge was first established in 1755 – nearly 265 years ago! In its day there was only one single hand rail and the odd wooden slate every few steps. It was highly unsafe and a real thrill seeker may have found the excitement in crossing. The bridge has massively evolved from then to create a safer experience whilst keeping the excitement and thrill of crossing intact. Located along a stretch of the North Antrim Coast, the Carrick-A-Rede Rope Bridge sits roughly 100 feet over the hollow waters of the Atlantic Ocean. The crossing is often considered daring and for thrill-seekers due to the bridges tendencies to sway in the wind and the drop from looking down. We find this is a great stop and a great piece of the North Antrim Coast to include on our Giants Causeway Tour. **Please Note** - Admission to the Carrick-A-Rede Rope Bridge is done via time slots and bookings. If you are looking to cross the bridge please get in touch and we'll assist you on times to suit
Ballintoy Harbor or to Game of Thrones Fans, known as 'Iron Islands' is a spectacular spot along the North Antrim Coast that welcomes thousands of tourists each year. We make a brief stopover at the harbor for an opportunity to visit the spot, take a walk and take some pictures. It's a truly outstanding harbor placed on a piece of the coast you have to experience for yourself.
Dunluce Castle is a 17th century medieval castle ruin that has been persevered and kept to display the history off the North Coast and the territorial war that happened between the 15th and 16th Century. The castle in itself has been documented to be in existence from the 13th century making it nearly 800 years old! To still be standing and preserved to experience and appreciate is a special feeling whilst on the grounds. We make a stop over for a walk around the castle site that has some fantastic photo opportunities.
Visit the Bushmills whiskey distillery and try some of finest whiskey they have to offer. We allow around 30 minutes for this stop over.
We will visit some of the wall murals in the city and also have a look at the walls that divide parts of the city today.
One of the most famous murals in Belfast.
We will stop at one of the walls that divides the 2 communities in West Belfast.
We will visit some of the Murals on the Shankill Road.

Fantastic day with our tour guide
Just a great day. The difference was having Chris take us around. Made us feel right at home and he had some great stories along the way. He added an extra stop for me to see Royal Portrush even though that extended our day. If the world was full of Chris’s we would be in a better place! Awesome time seeing the natural wonders of Ireland
Great day exploring the countryside in comfort
We had an amazing day with Chris. The vehicle was immaculate and he was friendly and shared lots of great info about the area as he drove us around the countryside. We really enjoyed the Giant's Causeway and the Castle, and Bushmills Distillery was enjoyable too.
Great wee craic!
We had a great wee craic! Paul is a brilliant tour guide! He is very friendly, informative and witty! He drove us around in a very comfortable and spacious van with very fun lights on the ceiling! We not only saw so many beautiful things/places but learned so much about Northern Ireland & Belfast along the way from a true Irishman. By the end of the tour, we felt like he was a great friend! We highly recommend this tour & Paul to anyone interested in seeing Giant’s Causeway and other spectacular places in Northern Ireland!
Unforgettable North Antrim Coast Tour
In September 2025, my husband and I decided to add three days in Dublin to our trip. As we researched more, we realized we also had the opportunity to visit Belfast and take this wonderful tour along the entire North Coast. We looked at many options—we didn’t want to spend the whole day stuck on a bus. Then we discovered the possibility of taking the train and, fortunately, came across this private tour that truly changed everything. Stephen, our driver and guide, was waiting for us at 8 a.m. at the train station. From there, we began exploring all the highlights of the North Antrim Coast at our own pace. He had snacks in the car, and we even got to enjoy a Guinness along the way. Stephen was incredibly kind, shared lots of stories, and gave us enough time to have a delicious lunch. After returning to Belfast, we had the chance to see some of the city’s murals and do a bit of quick shopping before catching our train back. It honestly couldn’t have been better. The vehicle was very spacious and comfortable. In our case, it was just the two of us, but the van can easily accommodate more people. Don’t hesitate—this is absolutely worth it if you want to truly experience and understand more about Northern Ireland. I’m so grateful to Stephen for all his attentiveness. This is a day we will never forget.
Book this experience for a GREAT day!
We really enjoyed our day in Belfast with our guide Chris! He made sure that we were comfortable during the down time in between sites, and handled questions and history about each location with ease and humor. At no point during our trip did we feel rushed or bored, and I would highly recommend this tour to anyone looking to fit all of these experiences into a perfectly packaged day trip.
