A romantic ruin perched dramatically above the coastal cliffs of north County Antrim, Dunluce Castle bears witness to a long and tumultuous history. No wonder it was featured on Game of Thrones. Belfast neighbourhoods. The most interesting aspect of Belfast is the complicated and fascinating history of The Troubles (1968-2005), which saw neighbouring communities of Nationalists (Irish) and Loyalists (British) face off against each other in near-daily skirmishes. The resolution of this conflict has proven an incredible achievement of diplomacy, patience, tolerance and maturity by the Nobel Peace Prize-winning politicians and the societies themselves. Creative murals provide insights into the inspirations and sentiments of both communities, past and present.

Took Giants By Storm

It was OUTSTANDING. Trudy Carmody was our tour guide and she was amazing... professional, knowledgeable, accommodating, and very personable. She truly made our first visit to Ireland memorable! There is so much more I could write but space is limited.... We also added the Titanic experience which was amazing. in short.... Trudy is the one you want to take you on the tour.

Response

Thank you for your response. First, I'd like to reiterate that our tour guide, Liam did an outstanding job with the day. We learned a lot about Irish history. Things that TripAdvisor should work on: 1. Send a copy of the detailed itinerary to the tour guide. Liam had no direction as to what the advertisement described, which was detailed. We basically had to create an itinerary Instead of the plans detailed on TripAdvisor. 2. Covey the dropoff and pickup locations and times to the tour guide. Having to make adjustments at the last minute is stressful. I do have to disagree with Liam's account with making 5 calls to me prior to the tour. I received only one call, and no message was left. I did not know who was calling, and without a message, did not return the call. Thank you for engaging us in regards to feedback. I hope your can better communicate with your guides in the future.
