Memorable Day In Belfast
Memorable Tour of Northern Ireland ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Before I say anything about the sights we saw—which were absolutely stunning—I want to start by talking about Michael, the guide behind Mick’s Tours of Belfast. From the very beginning, he was communicative and professional, reaching out before we disembarked to let us know exactly where to find him. He was right on time and easy to locate, which instantly gave us peace of mind. His Ford Transit van was perfect for touring: clean, spacious, and well-equipped with water, sodas, USB charging ports, and even climate controls accessible from the back. The elevated seating gave us fantastic views of the countryside as we traveled between sites, and he even introduced us to Ireland’s most famous potato chips—which was such a fun, local touch. Michael didn’t just drive us from one stop to the next. At each destination—whether it was Giant’s Causeway, the Queen of the Glen waterfall trail, Bushmills Distillery, or the Titanic Museum—he parked the van, got out, and personally guided us to the entrance. At Giant’s Causeway, where there’s an option to walk down and take a shuttle back up, he even handed us two British pounds in advance to cover the return fare. It’s those kinds of thoughtful gestures that really stood out. He was also a fantastic photographer—always offering to take pictures of the two of us—and a knowledgeable guide, filling the drive time with engaging stories and facts about Ireland’s history, culture, and landscape. Our lunch stop at a local eatery was just right: authentic and well-timed to break up the day. One of the most moving parts of the tour was visiting the Peace Wall in Belfast. Michael gave context without overwhelming us, and it became more than just a stop—it felt like a meaningful experience. Standing there, reading the messages, we were reminded how, no matter where we’re from, we all carry stories of conflict and reconciliation. It was humbling and unifying. Micheal then provided us with markers so we could write our own heartfelt messages of hope and for peace before ending the day. That small but powerful act made it feel like we weren’t just observing history, but participating in the ongoing story of reconciliation. Michael was personable, easy to understand, and clearly passionate about giving his guests the best experience possible. If you’re visiting Northern Ireland and want a tour that’s equal parts scenic, insightful, and sincerely cared for—don’t hesitate to book with Mick’s Tours. It was one of the highlights of our entire trip.
Two fantanstic full days with Mick's Tours!
Micheal took us on 2 different tours. One full day around Belfast and one full day to Giants Causeway. They were both fantastic! I was traveling with my mom who has limited mobility and Micheal did a great job tailoring the tours accordingly. She is also a retired teacher that loves history and Micheal did a great job telling us all about the area. The Giants Causeway / drive through Northern Ireland was one of the highlights of the whole trip for both of us.
Best excursion in Ireland
Mick was terrific! It was the highlight of our 2 week vacation. We treated ourselves to a private tour and we’re happy we did. He was very informative, customized our day to what was important to us and had a great sense of humor. Would recommend him for sure! Well worth the money!
Beautiful Northern Ireland Day Trip from Belfast
We had such a wonderful day with Ossie. He knew all the great spots for stops, including a fantastic lunch recommendation! I can't believe we got to see so much in one incredibly enjoyable day. Some of our main stops included the Carrick rope bridge, Giant's Causeway, Dark Hedges, Dunluce Castle, and several other stops, including Balleycastle, a lovely seaside village. Ossie is a genuinely kind person, and we felt so lucky to have him guide us for the day!
A++++ Highly Recommend. Best way to see more of Scotland.
My family of seven came in on a cruise. Mick was standing right outside of the ship when we got off. It was a bit of a crummy weather day, but Mick had mapped everything out with the rain in mind. We were able to see every single thing just barely beating the rain to each stop, while our fellow cruisers on the ship excursions because of the clouds. Highly recommend.
