Itinerary
Your guide will orient you to the area of East Cemetery Hill which is the location of heavy fighting during the Battle of Gettysburg before you enter the National Soldiers Orphanage Homestead. This building was used as the headquarters for General O.O. Howard during the battle and was also use as a hospital during and after the battle. After the end of the Civil War the building was turned into an orphanage for children whose fathers were lost during the American Civil War. That is where our story begins...

Did the orphanage tour tonight with Mike as our guide. Excellent presentation. Part history and part one man play. Better than a ghost tour. Would highly recommend
Through the eyes of Mike
Mike “The Undertaker” was amazing!! Definitely worth the money!! He starts out by telling you that if he only told us about ghosts the tour would take twenty minutes, and he was probably right. He spent the next two hours giving us background on post war Gettysburg, the people, the orphanage, its children, and the women who lived it. He made you want to sit there for hours and listen or better yet read the book he should definitely write, I would buy it!!! If you get the chance to take his tour do it you won’t regret it!!!
