Chauffeured trip from Dublin to Galway
We hired Galway Chauffeurs to take us from Dublin to Galway with customized stops along the way. It turned out to be the best day of our trip! Our driver, Sharon, was coincidentally from the town we wanted to investigate (our family came from that town). Sharon added so much to our adventure with local lore and history. At her suggestion, we also stopped at Sean's Bar (oldest pub in the world) for an Irish coffee. It was so lovely. Yes, you can travel from Dublin to Galway for less by bus or train, but you'd miss all the gorgeous things between the cities! Worth every penny and more.
Perfect day
We needed to get from Galway to Doolin for a wedding but wanted to see as much as possible. I had a plan in mind which Owen was happy to do, but he gave us the pros and cons and other suggestions. We went with his suggestions and are so glad we did. It was the best day of our trip. He customized the day to our needs. Communication was great and pricing was reasonable. Conversation in the car was just right. If we ever return to Ireland, we will use him again. We highly recommend this company.
Fantastic Tour Guide Makes Rainy Days Feel Sunny
Eoin (pronounced Owen) Cusack toured us around Galway for 2 days. We enjoyed good weather the first day, but the second day was a constant deluge of rain and wind. Nonetheless, we had a fabulous time. Eoin was flexible and took us where it made sense based on the weather, and we got see everything we wanted to, from the Cliffs of Moher, to castles and abbeys, to the gorgeous countryside. He had great recommendations for shopping and dinners, and he was great company with tons of Irish knowledge to share. Absolutely recommend touring with Eoin.
Touring Ireland with Galway Chauffeurs and learning from a schooled tour guide!
We had a fabulous time in Ireland. Our first day in Dublin was on our own, seeing the sights and drinking the Guinness. The next two days, we met up with Owen, our Galway Chauffeur, who, in our opinion, is the best. Owen is very friendly and easy to converse with. He had plenty of water to keep us hydrated and plenty of information about the sights he drove us to. Owen is kind and considerate. The first day, we were supposed to see the Cliffs of Moher, but since it was a very rainy day, he suggested we flip the days and visit the other sights. One of which was Kylemore Abbey, which was an incredibly beautiful building. Unfortunately, the rain got heavier, and we all got wet. It was Owen who suggested we make a 20-minute stop for us to change into dry clothing, so we did. He then dropped us off in Galway and suggested we visit McDonagh's (Quay St) for the best fish. The cod is delicious, and the chips were plentiful. We then ended up in Taaffe's pub, where we mingled and drank Guinness with the locals. Our next day with Owen was especially good due to the excellent weather. This was the day to see the Cliffs of Moher, but also to make stops along the way, taking in more sights. Due to the wet time of the year, Owen wanted us to see Aasleagh Falls, which flows into the Killary Fjord (Ireland's only fjord). We stopped in Connemara at a quaint cafe for a yummy bite to eat. Owen waited in the van, checking emails, while we ate. Once done, we continued our tour, making a few more stops before the cliffs. One at the Hazel Mountain Chocolate factory, where the chocolate was some of the best I've tasted. The next stop was to see Saint Brigid's Well, one of the most visited Holy Wells in Ireland. Owen didn't assume our religion; he asked before stopping, and we were all in. From here, we went to the Cliffs of Moher. The cliffs were amazingly beautiful and very, very windy. We left the cliffs for Owen to then drop us off for dinner, where he suggested, and we loved. The atmosphere in Gus O'Connor's Pub was happy and fun. Two groups of musicians played on opposite ends of the pub, and a small family near us had young boys playing Irish music on their flutes and penny whistles. It was delightful. The portions were large and delicious. Once done, we texted Owen, who then came to pick us up to head back to Galway. Owen traveled along the coast to see great scenery and a couple more castles. Sadly, Owen had to drop us off at the train station so we could head back to Dublin to conclude our trip. It was such a fun trip with Owen; we left him wanting to be his best friend. If you want a good time while seeing Ireland, call Owen! He's the Best tour guide in Ireland.
Eoin is the best! 5 day tour
My wife and I did a 5 day tour with Eoin, from Ashford through Kenmare, Killarney, and Dingle, to Dublin. His knowledge of the country and its history was fantastic. He was super pleasant and funny, and made our trip complete. He knew the best places and sites to go in all of the towns we went to and made sure we hit the best spots. When I come back to Ireland I will make sure to only come when Eoin is available. Five star service on all levels.
