This 20m-long, 1m-wide bridge of wire rope spans the chasm between the sea cliffs and the little island of Carrick-a-Rede, swaying 30m above the rock-strewn water. Crossing the bridge is perfectly safe, but frightening if you don't have a head for heights. Carrick-a-rede means ‘rock in the road’. It is thought salmon fishermen have been erecting bridges to the island for over 350 years. It has taken many forms over the years. In the 1970s it featured only a single handrail and large gaps between the slats. . A subsequent design was engineered in 2004 and offers visitors and fishermen alike a much safer passage to the island. The area is exceptional in natural beauty with stunning views of Rathlin Island and Scotland. Ballintoy to carrick 5mins

Excellent Service & Great Experience
I don't usually post reviews but our driver for the week, Jimmy Norris made our group of 8 golf trip a great experience. Jimmy was punctual, entertaining, knowledgeable, and a great addition to our trip. Jimmy was patient with all our requests and his input and knowledge of the area allowed him to answer all of our many questions. We've made a new friend and I will be in touch again Jimmy on my next trip to this beautiful part of the world. Be well.
Causeway and Antrim Coast Tours
Shea chauffered our group of 4 (two couples) for two days in October. On the first day, we explored the Causeway coast. The next day, we went down the Antrim Coast. He helped us build a custom itinerary that had something for everyone in our group and along the way, he even added a couple of stops that we would never have found on our own. Our journey was even better than we had planned. He was right on time both days, very professional, and very knowledgeable about all of the sites that we visited. Shea took all of the stress out of our trip and we all felt very safe with him behind the wheel. I'm happy to recommend Deluxe Tours and Transfers and Shea for your travel needs.
Great way to see some of this beautiful country
Our trip exceeded expectations. Seeing the beautiful Northern Ireland countryside and coastline, in the comfort and luxury of the people carrier was worth ever penny. The added touches eg cup cakes for my wife's birthday was icing on the cake, excuse the pun. Our driver Jarath added to the day enormously, we felt safe in the vehicle and his local knowledge and incitful comments added to the experience without feeling intrusive. I would thoroughly recommend the tour
A Fabulous Way to know North Ireland!
We had a fabulous time. Shea was really really good. He was informative, considerate and sincere. He played audio clips of the places, complete with sound effects giving us the full experience. We could feel his pride for the land. He is an excellent ambassador. The car was lux, clean and stable. Shea knows the roads and off-the-beaten tracks very well. We felt very safe with him at the wheels. Ratings: Service 5 stars, Informative 5 stars, Money's worth 5 stars.
Fantastic Tour Company and the Best Way to get Anywhere in Northern Ireland
We took a full day private tour of the Causeway Coast with Shea originating in Derry and ending in Belfast the same day. It was great! Shea is really nice, knowledgeable, and highly professional. His Mercedes Tourer Van is super high end, probably the most comfortable way to get from point A to B in Northern Ireland, and really a joy to tour in; lots of comfort and space. The amount of work Shea has put into giving his clients a high end experience is really noticeable. For example he has pre recorded descriptions of places, professionally voiced over with place appropriate music that come on while driving around and tell you about what you are passing. That's in addition to Shea answering any questions we had and giving us narratives of the places we stopped at. All in all this tour greatly exceeded our expectations and it was a great way to see the Causeway Coast and get from Derry to Belfast with all our luggage in comfort. Highly recommended!
