Excellent Tour
Great trip - we saw a whale, many puffins, sea otters and seals. The glacier was fabulous to see up close. The ship (slams) felt new and clean, staff was friendly.
Kenai Fjiord glaciers
Awesome experience. The view of the glaciers were out of the world. The otters, seals, sea lions, variety of birds and the fantastic weather was the added bonus
The best thing we did in Alaska
We had the most amazing day with Major Marine in July. Spire Cove with the puffins flying was like something from another world (and the Jurassic Park theme playing in the background was the perfect touch). The humpbacks bubble net feeding was awe-inspiring. And then there were the glaciers, the Dall’s Porpoises, the otters, the seals, the murrelets, the eagles, the waterfalls. Lunch was filling and delicious and I underestimated how much I would enjoy the warm coffee after getting sopping wet because I didn’t want to come inside. It couldn’t have been a better day and was by far the best experience we had in Alaska (and we did some awesome things!). Hot tip: we booked on Black Friday and got a great discount.
Major Marine Rocks
OUTSTANDING what a great trip from checkin to end. The crew went above and beyond. They did a special junior deck hand pledge for the kiddos. Have traveled with their competition and hands down, Major was the best. Thanks to the crew and Captain Gary for all they do.
Kenai national park glacier tour
We did the 7.5 hour tour and saw an amazing assortment of wildlife from killer whale and humpbacks to puffins. The close ups at the two glaciers were out of this world.
