An amazing site off the tourist trail

The only practical way to see this amazing site in a day from Cairo. It is a long way, and days are short so the trip back is in the dark; be prepared for heavy security. The Royal Tombs and Beni Hassan are great but the site of Armana itself is little more than a drive-past and we were disappointed the visitor centre was not on the itinerary.
