Stroll through the walking trails in tranquil Muir Woods to see California's coastal redwoods, the tallest living things on earth. Muir Woods is one of the last remaining stands of old-growth coastal redwood forest, sustained by temperate marine fog. You'll see redwoods that are over 800 years old, having grown from tiny seeds to heights of up to 258 feet (79 m).
On the way back from Muir Woods, you'll enjoy a 45-minute visit to the mediterranean-style seaside town of Sausalito. Hop off to visit a wide selection of distinctive boutiques, restaurants, parks, cafes, and unique art galleries. You can choose to end the tour here, explore Sausalito independently and catch the ferry back to the city later, or you can hop back on the bus after 45 minutes to return back across the Golden Gate bridge to designated drop off points within San Francisco.
