We had a wonderful experience exploring the countryside. Obernai in particular was charming and lively. The town square was magical and felt like a fairytale. The other towns were equally pretty but because it was a Sunday, most shops were closed. I think had we gone any other day more would have been available. That said, our guide Lea was outstanding. She was very knowledgeable and entertaining. The vehicle was a brand new Mercedes van and very comfortable.

Additional information

This tour is ideal for wine lovers who want to discover both German and Alsatian wine regions in a single, well-organized day. It’s a perfect fit for couples, small groups of friends, and adult families looking for a private, comfortable experience with a dedicated driver-guide. Travelers who enjoy scenic drives, charming villages, and guided tastings—rather than rushed, checklist-style visits—will get the most from this itinerary. It especially suits curious guests who want to compare terroirs, grape varieties, and wine styles across the Rhine, while learning directly from local winemakers at a relaxed, unhurried pace.

Important information concerning wine tours in France: We carefully select the wineries visited during our wine tours, but the number of wines you’ll taste is set by each estate and varies by region, price and quality.

Also, snacks are usually not provided during wine tastings to preserve the purity of the wine's flavor. We recommend having a good breakfast or lunch beforehand.

Please note that we do not distribute water bottles anymore to limit our environmental impact. We strongly recommend that you bring a reusable bottle.
