The water taxis was...
The water taxis was cancelled due to rain. I had to get a cab for $50 to hollywood beach. Would like a refund since I didnt use.

The absolute best way to see ALOT of venice at your own pace. BUT be very aware of where you need to get on and off. This is the way that the locals use to get around the Islands.
Don’t go too far from your stop or you are f$&@ed
Do not get on at the first or last stop, you could be stuck for a while. I made the mistake of getting on at the first stop on the ft Lauderdale route. Decided to go up to pompano. Went halfway and figured I’d get off and hop on a boat coming back. Waited forever and it was the same boat that I was on that went up the whole way and came back. Now I’m 2 stops away from my stop and we are stopped for about 15 min to space out the boats properly or something with the shift change. It’s been over 4 hrs since I wanted to go back. You should keep this in mind if you want to take the boat after taxi
