Top Notch E-Biking and Folklore Experience

Last week we were down in lovely West Cork, and we couldn’t have asked for a better way to explore some of the surrounds. Conor guided us around the landscape south of the town of Leap (locally pronounced “Lep” as we learned), which included stops at Union Hall, Castle Ire, Reen Pier, and St. Bridget’s Island. All beautiful locations, and we got to hear local history, stories and folklore along the way. We were out for about 3 hours and the time just flew by which is a testament to Conor’s storytelling! There were also a few ripe blackberries picked and eaten just to top it all off.

Unforgettable e-cycling adventure brought to life by an incredible storyteller.

We had the most amazing experience e-cycling, starting at Leap, peddling through Reen Pier, Lough Clubir, Union Hall, before making it back to the start. Conor, our incredible guide and story teller, had us bewitched with history and folktales, transporting us to centuries past with each narration. Cycling at a comfortable place, we got to see mesmerising sights, enriched our own knowledge of this beautiful island and got to converse with an inspiring orator. Highly recommend the tour and Conor's gift of the gab makes this entire experience all the better. The fact that we went over time, (3 hours+) is a testament to how much we enjoyed it and for us time flew by! Conor was so generous with his time and you can so obviously see his passion for oral storytelling and his vast library of tales and chapters of history. Can't wait to re-do this experience the next time we make the trip over :)

Best experience in West Cork!!

This was one of THE best experiences I’ve had in West Cork. Conor was an excellent guide, bikes were superb and I was smiling for days afterwards. You will not regret this tour - book it today!!

Wonderful ride, great stories

Beautiful scenery, interesting background histories, Irish language & location treats, great stories, friendliness and laughs. My partner and I took our own bikes, and our daughter rode one of Gormú’s perfect e-bikes. We hope to come back and do it again once we are in a position to return to Ireland, maybe also in another season, or we will join one of the other adventures offered at Gormú, such as the bioluminniscence & story telling swim. Thank you Conor, also for your patience and thoughtfulness; and looking forward to also meet Celine next time! Conor loves what he is doing and this is what makes this so memorable. This is not just a nice concept for a small business, it is a calling. And: we have never been at Blarney, and I don’t think Conor has, but surely he has the ‘gift of the gab’! If you have a chance, we strongly recommend this tour!

Memorable tour.

Best experience of our trip! Conor was a delightful storyteller who shared the love of his country with my cousin and I on the eBike tour. Felt we experienced true Ireland. Conor made us feel like we were family. Bikes were comfortable and well maintained. HIGHLY recommend this tour.
