Itinerary
Visit Piazza della Signoria, another iconic square in Florence, Italy, located near the Arno River. It has been the political and social center of the city throughout its history and is surrounded by several notable buildings and statues. Here are some highlights of Piazza della Signoria: Loggia dei Lanzi: This open-air sculpture gallery is located next to the Palazzo Vecchio. It features a collection of impressive statues, including Benvenuto Cellini's "Perseus with the Head of Medusa" and Giambologna's "Rape of the Sabine Women." Statue of David Replica: A replica of Michelangelo's famous statue of David stands in the Piazza della Signoria, near the entrance of the Palazzo Vecchio. The original statue was moved to the Accademia Gallery to protect it from damage. Fountain of Neptune: Situated at the southern end of the square, this fountain features a large marble statue of Neptune surrounded by various sea creatures and mythological figures.
This medieval fortress-palace is the focal point of the square. It has served as the seat of Florentine government for centuries and now functions as the town hall. The palace is adorned with impressive Renaissance artwork and sculptures, including works by Michelangelo and Donatello.
Dating back to 1290 this Church is one of the most unusual in Florence present as a near perfect square with Gothic marble decoration.
Visit what was once the heart of medieval Florence and even earlier in Roman times when it served as the location of the Forum, the center of the city’s public and commercial life.
Cross the most famous Bridge in Italy, built in the 14th century during the time of the Medici family and visit Via Di Capaccio. Walk the famous former Roman street and admire its many Renaissance & Medieval Towers
Visit the craft market of Loge Del Mercato and the Fountain of the Boar. Visit Via Del Corso and Elisabetta: Home to the oldest Tower in Florence dating back to the 6th or 7th century is located on Via Elisabetta
Piazza del Duomo is the spiritual heart of Florence and the soul of its historic center, declared a Unesco World Heritage Site. The place where you can admire, in a single glance, some of the city's main monuments, in a concentration of history, art and beauty to make your head spin. Indeed, the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore, with the Dome by Brunelleschi, the Bell Tower by Giotto and the Baptistery face each other here, surrounded by historic buildings and small- and large-sized museums.
Guests will visit the Basilica di San Lorenzo one of the largest churches of Florence, Italy, situated at the center of the main market district of the city, and it is the burial place of all the principal members of the Medici family from Cosimo il Vecchio to Cosimo III. Guests will also visit the incredible Medici Chapels - two chapels built between the 16th and 17th centuries as an extension to the Basilica of San Lorenzo. They are the Sagrestia Nuova, designed by Michelangelo, and the larger Cappella dei Principi, a collaboration between the Medici family and architects.
