Traveler reviews
BAD EXPERIENCE
Poor service. We had Saturday, February 14th the guided tour of the Duomo complex and we showed up at the meeting place at 9:00 am as scheduled, because the visit was to start at 9:15 am. At the time of the appointment we called the reference phone of MyTour telling us to move to the queue of daily admissions because the intermediary of MyTour was there waiting for the guides. We showed our ticket to the My Tour operator who confirmed that we were in the right place. The Italian-language guide only showed up at 9:45, the time the tour started outside the Duomo. At the opening of the Duomo (10 am) we entered the church where the tour lasted an hour. Then the guide escorted us out and greeted us. Despite having a voucher that stated a duration of 2.5 hours with a visit to the Duomo, the Baptistery and the Opera Museum, we stayed in the rain for a long time before and after the tour carried out, in a vain attempt to figure out what to do. We're still waiting for a refund of what we paid.
Bad experience
The operator change date 24 horas prior the date and I need to cancel. I wouldn’t be in Florence at the date they ask.
Will not recommend this tour
Incorrect description on how to find tour guide at the Duomo so took us very long before we finally located her. We were told she will be wearing white with a “my tour” logo on it and have some sort of green fabric with her. She had none of those. Found out that 2 others couples in our group also had the same issue. We purchased the English tour, her English was hard to understand and her facts were inaccurate and not succinct. She did not keep it interesting for everyone. And we had other issues during the tour which delayed the tour as well.
Tour interrupted, refund request
The guide was very professional, kind and prepared. He started the tour with great enthusiasm, explaining everything in detail and engaging. However, due to the long lines, it was not possible to complete the entire planned itinerary. I specify that it was not the fault of the guide, but of the organization, which should guarantee its collaborators the time necessary to complete the tour as described in the offer, regardless of expectations. I do not find it correct to pay for an experience that did not end as promised. I therefore ask for a full refund, because the service received does not correspond to what was purchased. The organization must plan better and comply with what is advertised.
Use with caution.
It was cancelled with no notice. We have not been contacted for a reschedule or a refund. Horrible customer service.
