Among the countless Ferrari stores in this town, make your way to captivating Ferrari Museum, where the motto, “Live the Dream,” welcomes you upon entering the building. Inside, you can find a treasure trove of Ferrari trophies, roads, and of course - cars! There is also an interesting reconstruction of the original office in which Enzo Ferraro worked in 1929. More recently, the museum also added a simulator, where you can experience the speed of driving a real Ferrari car! Discover the history of Italy’s great pride - Ferrari, in this unique museum. Next, enhance your experience in Maranello by adding an optional test drive of your favorite Ferrari vehicle. Does it get any better than this? When you are ready, your private driver will take you to the nearby city of Bologna. This medieval city is home to a vibrant array of cultures -from its historical wonders, to its young and intelligent students, to its unmatched Italian cuisine! Spend some time independently exploring the most famous sites of the city - Piazza Maggiore, Basilica di San Petronio, the Asinelli Towers, and the Fountain of Neptune. Then, after you are done wandering the charming streets, stop for a delicious snack of Emiglia Romagna specialties such as homemade tortellini, tagliatelle, mortadella, prosciutto, or Parmigiano Reggiano. When you are ready, your driver will be waiting for you to head back to Florence.
During your time in Bologna, Piazza Maggiore is a must-see! This is the beating heart of the city. Historically, this is where local merchants sold their goods in markets, and where the people gathered. Now, it is the most important square of the city, home to the enchanting Duomo of Bologna - Basilica di San Petronio. On the edge of the square, you can also find a great sculptural masterpiece by Giambologna - The Fountain of Neptune, a symbol of the city. Many of the most important historical buildings of the city are on the outskirts of Piazza Maggiore. With its stunning medieval architecture, this square embodies the essence of Bologna’s beauty.
On the way back to Florence, you can relax in the back seat and let your personal chauffeur do all the work.

Wonderful private tour to Ferrari factory and Bologna
We chose this tour so my husband could drive a Ferrari, and it did not disappoint! Valentin, our driver, picked us up right at the hotel—prompt, cordial, and informative as we made our way to Maranello and the Ferrari Museum. Once there, we got started right away with the 10-minute test drive—what an experience! Afterward, we explored the museum, enjoyed a relaxing lunch, and then continued on to Bologna for a visit. The vehicle was very comfortable, and Valentin was excellent with timing and clear communication for all drop-offs and pick-ups throughout the day. Highly recommend!
Here’s a polished and...
The private tour was exceptionally well organized from start to finish. The drive to Maranello was smooth, and we appreciated the skip-the-line access to the Ferrari Museum. The museum itself was spectacular—beautifully curated and full of fascinating information. After our visit, we continued on to Bologna, where our driver recommended a wonderful local restaurant for lunch. It was an excellent choice, lively and authentic. Overall, a fantastic experience that we would highly recommend.
Great day trip for F1 fans!
We had a great time with Placido! The F1 fans in my family loved the museum, and Placido gave us a lot of information about the sights and history of the area. Had a nice stop in Bologna, a beautiful little city. Highly recommend!
Great day trip for F1 fans!
My family of F1 fans had a great day with Placido, our guide and driver. He gave us a lot of information about the sights and history of the area, gave us tips to explore areas on our own when we stopped, and tailored our day to our interests. Highly recommend!!
Overall, a good day
We really did want to see the Ferrari Museum in Maranello, and were happy to have gone. The challenge was the drive from Florence. I think if we were to do it over again, we'd maybe have taken the train to Bologna and arranged for a driver from Bologna to Maranello? We got stuck in a lot of traffic and felt like we spent way too much of our day in the sprinter bus, which although very nice, was a much longer round trip than I had planned. Because of the traffic, we lost a lot of the time we were hoping to spend in Bologna. Not anyone's fault, but I think it would have taken a great bit of time off the ground transportation and saved a bit of money to have done it this other way. Unfortunately we had never been to Florence and weren't sure what we were up against on the logistics. This was a good day, but really wish it had been less "on the road" time.
