While you walk along Whitehall, your guide will show and explain to you all the most famous monuments and buildings you will see on the way, such as the statue of Winston Churchill, Downing Street and Horse Guards Parade. You will then reach Buckingham Palace, the official London residence of British sovereigns since 1837, and today the administrative headquarters of the Monarch. It serves as the venue for many royal events and ceremonies, and it is a focal point for significant national celebrations and commemorations. Here you can witness the evocative ceremony of the Changing of the Guard (if scheduled on the day of the tour and weather permitting), and your guide will know where to stand in order to have the best possible view, as it can be very crowded.
