— Very Disappointing & Misleading Experience

I would NOT recommend this excursion. The pictures and descriptions make the experience look much better than what you actually receive. The ATVs were in terrible condition. Ours ran out of gas, the seats were coming off, and the motors get extremely hot and burn your legs. Before riding, they hand you a waiver to sign with little to no explanation. This was not what I would consider an ATV tour. We basically drove up and down a horrible dirt road filled with potholes. The equipment was so raggedy that a woman actually flipped off her ATV right in front of me. When we first arrived, we were immediately encouraged to pay an additional $60 PER PERSON to upgrade to the “VIP” experience because it was supposed to be more private, intimate and exclusive. In reality, everything is simply smaller. The “private cenote” was basically a small hole large enough to accommodate the small group. It looked nothing like the experience portrayed in the promotional pictures. The so-called safari/jungle portion was equally disappointing. There was nothing resembling a safari. We did not see one animal, and the transportation vehicle itself felt like it was about to fall apart. Between the rough ATVs and the extremely rickety transportation to the cenote, members of my family were left with significant stomach, back and hip discomfort afterward. Customer service made the experience even worse. We waited forever for the excursion to actually begin. Once they collected our upgrade money, we were basically pointed toward lockers with no explanation of what to do next, and there was no one available who could communicate with us in English to assist. Our tour guide, Chile, was also extremely rude and condescending. He began by telling us what we should and should not say so that we wouldn’t offend Mexican culture, yet his own behavior toward us was offensive and disrespectful. While he was speaking to the group, I was seated facing a different direction but had turned my body toward him, was completely quiet and was clearly paying attention. He stopped speaking and motioned for me to physically turn around and sit the way he wanted, as if I were a child being corrected in a classroom. It was unnecessary, embarrassing and disrespectful. And the upselling doesn’t stop with the VIP package. After paying the additional $60 per person, you’re sent to another area where they try to sell you a face mask and water shoes. When we declined, the person simply walked away. Overall, this excursion felt poorly maintained, disorganized, misleading and focused heavily on getting additional money from guests rather than providing the experience being advertised. The photos create an expectation that simply does not match the reality. This was something my entire family could have done without. Save your money and choose another excursion company in Cancun. I would absolutely not do this again.

Worth every penny! Read first!

This was an absolutely amazing experience! A couple takeaways now that we've gone and looking at previous reviews prior. They make it really clear what you can and cannot do as well as what to bring and not to bring. They do try to upsale of course but what place doesn't? Also, if you say no once MAYBE twice they WILL leave you alone. They do not push push push you into a sale. You can bring your phone to the tequila tasting and cenote, but everything else your phone will need to be left behind which was understandable. We stayed with the lowest package and had an absolutely AMAZING time. We didn't feel rushed and each guide we had from the van to the end was top tier! The food is 2 soft tacos with either pork, fish, or veggie option. Drinks were good and decently priced (about $4-$15) I would absolutely do this again definitely worth the money.

Fun in the Sun with My Wife and Omar Our Guide

Omar was our Main Guide and he treated me SO GREAT, taking care of my Crutches and Leg while we Zip Lined. Adolfo was our Photographer and he took many great pictures. It was a Fun Filled Day, even when we had to drink Tequilla (YUK), but I was pleasantly surprised with 2 of the Flavors --- YUMMY Bailey Irish Creme Type, and the Coffee flavored one. The 2 tacos at the end were not enough, but the Beers Helped. All in All, a FUN TIME !!!!
