Itinerary
Pass by: According to your pick up time meet your guide and drive to Ephesus region. Along the way, get information from your expert local guide about the history of Ephesus, civilizations, Christian history of the region, culture and crafts.
1st Stop: See the theater of Ephesus from the distance and learn how the port city was moved away from the sea by alluviums and lost its importance
2nd stop: see the Odeon theater and the Gate of Hercules from the distance, which are among the most important symbols of the city, and get an explanation from the guide covering the most magnificent periods of the city.
3rd Stop: Discover the history of pottery, the benefits it brought to the region and how it is made in the oldest pottery production center of the region, and you can even paint your own ceramics with local masters.
4th Stop: See the basilica built in the name of St John, who spread Christianity to the region and Isa Bey mosque. It is one of the oldest and most spectacular works of Turkish architectural history from the Anatolian Principalities period.
5th Stop: Visit The Temple of Artemis that is one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient world. From this point, you can see the old Selcuk houses, Isa Bey mosque and you will see St. John's Basilica from a different perspective.
6th Stop: Visit the oldest carpet village in the region. Learn the history of Turkish carpets, the messages contained in the patterns and experience how they are made.

Ephesus
Wonderful knowledge of the area and great explanations of all the sight that we went to. He taught us about the culture and day to day of the people that lived in the ancient city
Avoid like the plague!
Although we knew that we were not to enter Ephesus - that was fine; waht we did not realise is that we saw very little of it al all. it did not match the description given! Instead we saw more of the inside of: a pottery with a very hard sell; a carpet factory with a very hard sell; and thirdly a jeweleery factory with an incredibly hard sell. NOT APPRECIATED. Guide know his stuff but was obvioiusly more interested in gaining commission than giving us a good time.
Recommended for short stop attractions
Nice tour with a good guide who is steady in English and easy to talk with. Many nice stops even though you don't get stopped so long at each place. Nice with the ac in the minibus as it is closer to 40 degrees outside. Even if you don't stop for too long, you'll nevertheless be stopped by the most famous sites and attractions in the Kusadasi area. Recommended
