Itinerary
Pass by: We will depart early in the morning, between 04:30 and 05:00 am, from your hotel in San Pedro de Atacama. The exact schedule may vary depending on the time of year.
Our first destination will be the highest geothermal field in the world, the Geysers del Tatio, located 4200 meters above sea level. Here we will explore the approximately 80 active geysers, observing the impressive columns of steam and hot water that emerge from the earth at dawn.
We will enjoy a delicious hot breakfast while we contemplate the steam fumaroles, some reaching up to 10 meters high. This will be the perfect time to recharge our batteries while admiring the natural spectacle that surrounds us. If you dare, you will have the opportunity to immerse yourself in the natural hot springs of Tatio, with an average temperature of 36°C. It is a unique experience to relax and enjoy the natural environment while you immerse yourself in these rejuvenating waters.
Pass by: After marveling at the geysers, we will continue our journey to the picturesque town of Putana, where you will have the opportunity to immerse yourself in the local culture and explore its charming streets and squares.
After enjoying the Tatio Geysers, we will go to the small town of Machuca. Here you can explore its picturesque streets, visit its old Church and try its delicious cuisine, which includes traditional dishes such as llama meat anticucho and goat cheese empanadas.
Pass by: Finally, we will return to San Pedro de Atacama, leaving you near the municipal parking lot. From here, you can explore the town, have lunch, or return to your hotel on your own. If you prefer, we can also drop you off at your hotel.

Unique experience at the Tatio Geysers and Machuca
The visit to the Tatio Geysers and the village of Machuca was highly recommended. We left early to see the geysers at sunrise, and it was completely worth it, as the landscape with the steam and the mountains in the background is stunning. The guide was very attentive and provided interesting information about the area and its history. Additionally, Machuca has a very peaceful atmosphere typical of the high plateau, ideal for experiencing another side of the Atacama Desert. A very complete and well-organized tour.
Geisers El Tatio
It's a nice trip to the desert very early in the morning. (Don’t think about it, sleep well before, they will come by you 4am to see the wonder of geysers) after a journey of about 1hr you arrive at the geysers and then a rich breakfast. It's worth it.
A must if you are in the region
A great experience. It's worth getting up early. The Fuhrer was great, but his English was still expandable. The price is quite high, but without a tour guide I would not recommend the tour.
It is worth it!
I thought the place was incredible, and the guide Daniela and the driver Daniel were as incredible as the tour!!! Lots of relevant information!
