Wonderful tour, excellent thoughtful guide and yummy cheese.
A fun afternoon with a knowlegable guide, who was friendly, fun and interesting. The tour was well received. Very much enjoyed the cheese. We were fortunate to have a sunny day, which provided a wonderful backdrop to our outdoor cheese eating experience. A lovely time also had getting to know others on the tour. Learnt some new facts about the area also. Thank you!
Well Done!!
Orla was wonderful! My husband and I travel with another couple and this tour is definitely in our top five best experiences. We visited three cheese shops, had wine in the park and visited an area of Edinburgh we would have never experienced if it wasn’t for booking the Cheese Crawl! Well done

The tour had a promising first stop. At an upscale shop, the owner presented us with prepared samples of two cheeses which we ate in the shop while he told us about his cheeses and then offered a few additional tastings. But after, there were two more cheese shops which were too small for our group of 8. The guide went in, bought a few chunks and a bottle of wine. We could go in and take a quick look at these shops but the employees had no interaction. The guide provided some information. After the guide had purchased her supplies, she knelt down over her bag to cut the cheese on a board and then served the wine in small cups and the cheese as the group stood on the sidewalk or took an available seat on a bench. I asked and the guide said that if it rains, she tries to keep the cheese dry and hopes to find an overhang to shelter her guests. The guide was a nice young person who knew the tour and did her best, but eating cheese and sipping wine from a small paper cup on a busy sidewalk wasn't really appealing to me. For the money, I'd suggest locating a cheese shop and buying a few samples on your own. Then find a comfortable spot to enjoy them.
